I'm so excited to join this club! My new to me 04 Eggplant First. The leather is unbelievably soft and silky. Is this feel typical of all of the 04 bags or of the eggplant in particular? I find it difficult to photograph this color because it is so saturated and looks different depending on lighting.

Many 2004 bags have that amazing buttery, silky leather, but some colors more consistently than others. Eggplant is consistently gorgy. A surprisingly neutral purple, that goes with everything. Enjoy!

Thanks kadmia. The leather is truly divine -- I could probably use it as a tiny pillow-- and the eggplant really does go with a lot of colors. I'm surprised because it is SO purple but somehow manages to play well with others.
