I dont consider myself to b too harsh on my bags but I bought this Michael Kors exactly a month ago. And.... all four of the straps stitching (where the leather meets to acctual bag) have ripped! The triange stitching that is i guess the reinforcer is holding up but its only been a month. This bag was like $378 dollars. I can understand maybe after several months it might start looking a little worn in, but not after such a short amount of time. Has anyone else had trouble with this designer? I went to the web site and there isnt any type of contact information for comments or anything like that. I dont really want to return it becayse 1. I LOVE IT and 2. Its not the stores fault its the designers. SO.... does anyone have any advise or the same problem?
First of all, the most durable bag I've owned is the LV petit bucket. I tend to be a little hard on bags without realizing it, but my bucket (other than the handles turning) still looks fantastic! No scratches or anything!
Secondly, on the subject of Michael Kors, I have a friend who works in the handbag dept of Dillards and she says they have had a lot of problems with the finish rubbing off of the plaques (?) on the Michael Kors wallets. I think that was what she said; I'm not terribly familiar with his stuff, never owned anything, but she said despite how great they look and how he is a well regarded designer, she would never buy anything of his b/c his stuff appears to be cheaply made. This is just a second hand opinion. Like I said, I've never owned anything of his but thats what I've heard. I hate that happened to you bag-I find that to be very annoying. I have a Cynthia Rowley that the strap broke on. I superglued it back b/c I love the bag, but I was still annoyed that I had to do that to begin with.
