this is the look here. brand is toteme, they have cult like followers. it works in terms of everyday uniforms which is super interesting...but after a while it seems so austere and lacks the je ne sais quoi, and any sexiness or feminity.
Eventhough I am a huge fan of late 90s minimalism.
-But to go to work, I erase all sense of sexy and work with a "uniform" that´s quite androgynous. Go for the "cool" but unisex-
I love toteme but their clothes are very hit and miss fits for women that are not built tall and slender. I have the same problem with many scandi brands (acne and COS break my hear) that I adore  any tips on similar styles but maybe smaller items?

I know what you mean, I am considered quite tall and slender BUT I have round hips and their trousers rarely fit. So I have to take lycra stretchy trousers. Otherwise I stick with their tops.
There is Tibi that I really like, otherwise Zara does better for "mediteranean curves". And depending where you are, there are fabulous corean brands.

@Etriers I just received these zipped Totême leggings this morning. Might seem ridiculously expensive for leggings but they fit like a dream! Perfect high waist, leg length, zippers details on the ankles add the cool, and the material is so thick and flattering!

Love these!

This is such a great thread. I was just lurking in the celebrities wearing Chanel thread and was surprised that almost no one, with their next to unlimited clothing budgets and perks, looked good. I do think you’re on to something here. It is so much easier to look great with A well edited minimal wardrobe.

Thank you. I agree, I don´t think American celebrities have a good style, they are just wearing athletic gear. Money doesn´t buy style, they don´t seem to care. And we shouldn´t be slaves to appearance, but in my culture there is a minimum that´s considered respectful for people around. Like the whole debate about Justin and Hailey Bieber looking like they were heading to Las Vegas to meet the French president and his wife.

oh I love Amomento for example! Do you know of any other brands? I’m in Scandinavia with all the tall people but some shops carry Korean brands

I personally love the power dynamics of this it’s very:
“For you, President Macron, the day Bieber came to your village was the most important day of your life. For Bieber it was a Tuesday.”

Which shops carry Korean brands? I´m in scandinavia too.
Just saw Wood Wood carries Amomento, its exactly the shop I (normally) avoid because I´m not made for unisex boxy clothes :/ (which sums up scandi fashion)

Lol! I’m guessing that was the point they were making, but thank heavens there are still many who thought they looked clueless. Sometimes I look back on old photos of myself taken at times when I thought I looked so cool, and now I just think, Wow, did you ever look stupid!

I am starting to look into my fall/winter wardrobe. I have bought two silk slipdresses (to wear under dresses) and two new 100 denier Wolford tights.
I normally wear a long tanktop underneath dresses, but I feel I need a bit more luxury in my everyday, and I love wearing (strechy) silk.

Since I became a mom almost 3 years ago I have worn cheap tights instead of Wolford, which I used prior. But now it is time to go back to Wolford, so I hope they still fit my newer bodyshape :D

I really love summer, but I feel like I'm ready for fall clothing! I love dressing for this season the most ☺️ and I think I also need new tights this year. I have never tried Wolford though, but Falke tights work really well for me.

I wrote about my allergy related wardrobe struggles a few weeks ago (metal allergies), and now after I tested really everything I come in contact with (jewelry, buttons, closures, chain straps, zippers..), here is the result: Nearly all clothing items are safe for me to use, and only 2 jewelry pieces tested positive (one will be altered and one donated - was costume jewelry), and unfortunately the hand-me-down leather gloves from my great grandmother have decorative metal parts with nickel. But interestingly - and very fitting here for the purse forum - nearly half of my bags & wallets tested positive (more than half if I don't count bags that don't have any metal on them in the first place), including a 3 year old Coach bag and a vintage Miu Miu bag. Thankfully my two most used everyday bags (simple black tote and simple black crossbody bag) as well as my two most expensive bags (Hermès & Philip Lim) tested negative.
But 4 out of the 5 backpacks (leaving me with one very casual fabric backpack) that I own will leave my collection as well as all of my travel bags.
I haven't gotten rid of any bags yet, most will probably be donated to my local thrift store and I'll try to sell the Coach bag and Miu Miu bag .
But on the other side I'm excited for new luggage. My suitcase will stay but I want a new weekend bag and backpack.
Also I already notice that I miss my leather backpacks. I had two black ones and one in lavender. But I will take my time with deciding on this purchase.
The sad thing for me is: going forward second-hand is tricky. I noticed that the older the bag, the more likely it will give off nickel. Also bags made for the European market are safer on average. I really like shopping second-hand, especially with bags, but for now I'll look more into small ethical designer brands, where I can ask about the materials before purchase.

I bought it from Wood Wood but for example the Spanish brand Paloma wool also makes not so super unisex minimalistic clothing which is a brand amomento and wood wood carries!
otherwise amomento delivers worldwide but I’m too stingy to pay customs

I noticed that the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag seems to have no metal.

Where did you find silk slips?
