I think it's best to return if you don't love it. I have kept bags I don't love in the past and regretted it. You can always buy again down the track if you change your mind.

I suggest having a look at calf leather if you have the chance though -- it is really soft and not plasticky at all! Fell in love when I saw it at the store and after mulling over it for a week, I have just pulled the trigger on a mini bucket in calf....oops. (trying to sell my lady bag in the meantime but I've gotten the sequence completely wrong
)Yea, I'm still stuck at this stage. It's still brand new, I think I'll lose a lot of money selling it, and it may take time. I still like the look of it everytime I see a pix of someone with it.
Which size and colour did you get? Mine is the medium size, black/famma. The size seems OK for me as a work bag, the large will definitely be too large for me. In fact, now that I've seen how stiff the leather is, I'm rethinking of the size of the bucket bag, maybe mini would be less bulky than regular. Which size of bucket you have? With such stiff leather, does it close up nicely with the drawstring closure or do you have to really force it?
I would return it if it's possible but I bought from the MG website. I think they don't accept return, do they?

So it's mainly the leather that you don't like, not the style of the bag? How are you liking your mini bucket?I just like the style, fits all my stuff, has a flap over it so feels more secure than the opened top of the tote. Just personal preference really.
I'm not sure about the dislike of the closure as I don't use it. I push the toggle thing up the leather ties pulling them to tighten a little and then put the flap down. Have never done it any other way, I don't think it's necessary myself as it's secure enough without anything further.

I actually got to see a random bag that someone else had yet to pick up (I pre-ordered my bag from LaPrendo which has a physical store in my country -- so unfortunately it wasn't for sale!), but so I didn't get to see the bag prior to purchase either hence we ended up in the same situation

Hope you love it! I have to decide in 2 days' time so that I can buy during their upcoming restock. I want so badly to like the bag.
In theory, everything about the bag seems perfect but somehow in reality, it feels differently to me. Maybe I'll try to put some stuff into the bag and carry it around the house to see if it grows on me.
How long have you had the lady bag? Will the leather gradually soften a bit and feel more like leather and less plastic-y?I've had it a couple of months can't remember exactly when I got it. Have been using it exclusively since as my every day bag. Doesn't soften too much, the structure of their veg tanned leather is what I like about their bags so I hope it doesn't get too soft over time.

Do you use the long strap or just the shoulder strap? Another thing that disappointed me was how stiff and short the strap was. I love the way it looks with just the shoulder strap but it's only really user-friendly (to me) with the longer strap.
I carry it by the long strap over my shoulder usually. Occasionally carry it by hand with the short strap but it's not all that stiff. May have softened. I don't carry it with the short strap over my shoulder though. The long strap does that job well and I don't need the bag that close up under my arm pit. It isn't as practical carrying it that way for me.
