I received my third MG bag later this week and I'm very disappointed. Here's my rant, if you reach the end please give me your feedback. TIA!

First issue:
The bag smells like it has been heavily treated with chemicals and it gives me a headache after handling it for just a few minutes! I have two vegetable-tanned buckets that smell like beautiful leather. I purchased the calf leather thinking, since it was more money and was made with different leather, it would be of higher quality.

Second issue:
The piece that holds the pouch is already rusted.

Third issue:
The MG stamp on the bag bars only half of the "M" and other letters are cracking.

This bothers me since I spent $705 expecting a high quality product, and it's clear this release was sub-par.

Oh no that's a lot of very valid issues. The smell is a known problem and it does go away with use and airing, but I really wouldn't stand for the other problems at all, especially the rusted stud/screw.

It's bad that there are so many issues. The rusty button and the half-done M should not have passed QC before shipping. I hope they can do something for you.

I have the 'O' around the button on my black/flamma too, but it's not rusty, just looks discoloured. I assumed that was normal but now I'm not too sure.

I love the smell of my black/flamma. Now waiting for a moss lady bag to arrive. I really am not looking forward to the smell.

I was undecided between Brandy and Cammello at the recent MG website relaunch, but Brandy reminds me very much of a bag my mother used every day when I was growing up in the 80s. It was also a bucket bag with a drawstring closure and I was very tickled by the similarity!

I have seen a couple of black/flamma buckets in the wild recently, but only in passing, not close up.

What did your mum say about it? Fashion came full circle!

Just a quick update on my mini bucket and its creased corner. It wasn't a crease at all but just a scratch. I managed to buff it out with Chamberlain's Leather Milk #1 and it looks as good as new! Here's a pic. So happy that my little black/royal is a keeper!

Fantastic job you did with it! I can't tell where the scratch was at all.

I received my Brandy/Cleo mini yesterday, despite my initial doubts I'm definitely feeling it much more today!

My bag is here...8 days earlier than expected! Yay!

Gosh, so much work went into getting this bag (warning, long post ahead)...

Decided I wanted a mini cammello/dolly (already have a regular black/flamma).
Didn't bother with the may relaunch as it all looked too stressful, decided to try ebay.
Couldn't find anything on ebay.
Expanded my search to mini cammello/anything.
Found a cammello/argento on Tradesy and bought it. Turns out it was a falsely advertised mini mini. Joined PurseForum to complain about tradesy customer service.

Discovered PS Dept and tried them. Got offered a preorder for a regular cammello/rosa and I took it.
Realised I still wanted a mini and decided to explore calf coated as I had a regular cammello on preorder already. Posted in the 'help me find' thread.
Got alerted to a mini rosa in stock at Barneys. Had my credit card blocked at checkout and someone else bought the bag before I could do anything about it.
Got alerted to a mini peony for preorder at BG.
Saw on their website that they also had mini veg tanned buckets, including what appeared to be the cammello/dolly I originally wanted. Pre-ordered the 'brown/red' hoping it was the right one. Cancelled my PS Dept order.
BG randomly cancelled my order. Turns out brown/red was cammello/rosa anyway.

Decided to give the July relaunch a shot, getting up at 1am local time for it. At this point hubby thinks I've lost the plot. Scored her at 1:07.

So on the way I picked up one extra bag and ALMOST ended up with three others... I guess the moral of the story is... don't settle!

PS the dolly is amazing IRL. The MG stock photos don't do it justice.

This was almost what I wanted to check out with at the MG launch too! Decided at the last minute to get the black/flamma instead. I am swooning at your bucket and realising that I still really love this colourway.

Congrats!! Still waiting for my brown:red mini bucket from BG even tho I know it's probably rosa rather than dolly. I agree u have to keep focused on what u want. I missed the relaunch for a workout and decided it was karma/fate. If it's meant to be it's meant to be. The moral is don't settle. Especially if it's not returnable.

Wow, that's perseverance, thanks for sharing! And you got your happy ending which is great! I REALLY felt for you at the part where you couldn't process your payment at Barney's. That would have done my head in!!

My mini mini cammelo/dolly finally showed up today.

Long story short, tracking showed it was delivered and signed for on Friday, but no one in my building has it. So today, I received an email from my receptionist that said someone on another floor brought it to me today. The shipping box was opened but the bag was not damaged! So happy!!!

At 5'-0", I find this size perfect for me and is big enough to carry my essentials in.

I was not happy about it. The label clearly has my name and phone number on it. Not sure why they wouldn't contact me to let me know they have my bag! Isn't it illegal to open mails that don't belong to you?
