Are you French ....
Yes. But I started living in the US part of the year when I was 20. Now I live in the US permanently. I still go to France often though - that's where my family lives.

Are you French ....
In Spanish all letters are pronounced. Once you know how to pronounce a letter, you can say any word out loud.
In French, it's quite different!
I know this issue very well since I teach French at the University! And I have twice gotten LV pronunciation questions from my girl students.

Lol...
It was not insulated that you were teaching French wrong, I merely said that Spainish was far more difficult. ......
I did not feel insulted at all. Actually I thought you were making the opposite point. To me Spanish is much easier than French for beginners and intermediate levels, particularly because the pronunciation is easier. Easier or Harder is a subjective question of course... each learner has a unique response to the Target Language.
The one thing that English speakers find easy is that there are a lot of French words in the English language - dating back to French being the official court language for a while.
Wow, thank you. I have been murdering that pronunciation!!Bat-ee-nee-all
I ordered my Speedy 30 Bandouliere DE Thursday via phone. Here's the prounounciation
Ebene
Eh- Ben
Bandouliere
Ban-do-lay
Haha I called LV to order the new delightful NM and the rep asked me if I wanted Azur or Ebene. I now know I have been pronouncing it wrong all along! I was saying Ebene (AbeenA) and the rep said (Aben) I hope that make sense.I'm planning to get a DE NF MM at the LV store tomorrow, and then I realized that I don't really know how to pronounce Damier Ebene! I searched online and all I could find was the pronunciation of "Damier" but not "Ebene".
Does anyone know of a video that has an accurate pronunciation of the word? Otherwise I might have to resort to pointing and saying "that one"!![]()
