There is a very easy solution to end the boos.
PLAY WELL. We all have rough patches in our jobs. We all stumble. He should feel embarrassed these writers are printing excuses for him. People can tell when you want to be there. For that kind of money he needs to put on a PROFESSIONAL front and attitude and play. If he has a mental block, bow out and refocus.

I dont think what khloe wrote was that bad, but this is his area and the focus should be him not her. She needs to be more careful of what she puts out there about him.

Khloe must have forgotten her brush.

I agree with this too.

I think Lamar should try seeing a sports psychologist to figure out what is going on. I'm sure he is upset and miserable about playing so poorly.

Khloe twittering from all the games, it sounds childish to me (I'm not a fan of twitter under normal circumstances either).

I'm pretty sure the Mavs have one on staff.

Actually, Khloe's tweets were on point. Positivity goes a long way. Lamar is an emotional dude the constant booing will not get the desired change. Even one of the ESPN writers tweeted that today.

Her tweets about the game haven't been removed, they are still there. Even some of the Mavs reporters returned her tweets in agreeance.

It's not Khloe's responsibility to police the fans. Khloe's tweets make him look weak + her arguing with fans on twitter isn't helping. Support him in private. He is not the first or last player to get booed. It happens all the time. In fact, it happened to two of Lamar's teammates when he was on LAL + they got booed far worse + for much longer than he has been.

I dunno, to me Khloe tweeting her fingers off about the boos make her sound defensive. Let them boo, who cares, athletes get booed all the time. Just be a supportive wife without blasting the "haters" on Twitter. There are other ways to be supportive without tweeting it, lol.

Exactly.

Positivity is great and all, but booing players who do not deliver is part of the game. Always has been and always will be and Khloe's tweets are not gonna change a thing. The fans don't care about Lamar's mental state the way Khloe does. They do acknowledge that he's "emo", down on himself and playing without confidence, but they are not his personal cheerleaders. They will not hold his hand and tell him that everything is gonna get better. () If he stinks up the court they will let him know it. Now on the other hand, when he has a good / great game, they will let him know it, too.
That's the difference between family and friends in this situation. Family has your back no matter what. With fans, you've gotta earn their respect and support.
And really, I don't blame the Mavs fans. He has done pretty much nothing for them. He was out of shape at the beginning of the season, mentally fragile all along and after 4 months with the team he still hasn't been able to adapt to them. Instead he went on a questionable leave, did not report back to the team as it was originally agreed upon and even (by all acounts) asked to be bought out... Why would they have his back when so obviously does not want to be there?
@Oruka: Yes the Mavs play a totally different ball than the Lakers, but from a player who's been in the league as long as Lamar it has to be expected that he somehow makes it work. And quite frankly, I doubt it's simply the system that's troubling him. It's mostly in his head, imo, and his mental problems have resulted in a lack of effort he's even been called out for by his teammates...
I forgot what else I wanted to write, so Imma stop here.

This is a great post.

Say what you will about Kris H, he was always taking time to go work out or practice basketball (often leaving Kim seemingly annoyed that he was not going to be at her beck and call 24 hours a day). He talked trainers. He struck me as an athlete. Lamar, not so much. Kris worked at staying in shape. He was ready when the season started. And it has helped pay off for him.

Kris has to work that hard. He has no choice. Lamar has more talent in one hand that Kris has all together so he can get away in essence with doing less. By the same vein you could argue if he worked harder, he might be 10x better than he is but when you're already really good naturally it's hard to find inner motivation. Very few people with talent have a Kobe Bryant work ethic that stops them from coasting.

Kris H doesnt have HALF the talent that Lamar has naturally but he makes up for it via hard work. I watched every episode of KKTNY and he was motivated about his training and nothing was going to prevent him from being in shape and improving his game.

I just posted something similar.

I wanna know when booing a player became taboo. Lamar is not the 1st or last player to feel the wrath of upset fans. He gets paid good money to perform, yet he doesn't. I'm sure those fans don't care if he doesn't handle criticism well. So, basically this writer wants fans to handle him with kid gloves? GTFOHWTBS.

Truth. Like Bzemom said you want the boos to stop? Play better.

This is the one thing I dont get with Dallas fans. Lamar plays only 24 minutes of a game and at least 4 minutes are just garbage minutes, he doesnt make or break the game. Yet, he is responsible for all their losses. When Lamar wasnt in the line up, they loss 4 straight games with their big 3: Dirk, Jet and Marion.

Dallas fans (at least one the forums i've read) don't blame him for losses. They blame him for sucking. They know he's not make or break + he alone is not going to win them games, but they also see someone who in their mind is not trying + just moping. They've seen management, the crowd, etc go out of their way for this guy + give the benefit of the doubt and they are sick of it.

The reason they aren't more angry is because they gave up no assets to attain him. At this point they know Carlisle will give him his 20 minutes a game regardless of his play in hopes that he will eventually get back to Lamar of before + cutting down his minutes would damage his psyche even more so they are stuck with him so to speak. Alot want to put Yi in the rotation in Lamar's place but then again know if they are looking to win the title you need the caliber of Lakers Lamar not Yi so it's a double edged sword

The loss of Tyson IMO is killing them.
