even if i were to agree with you that he's being potrayed unfairly which i dont, HE"S the one who put himself in that predicament in the first place. There's no one else to blame for that. The media is treating him rather mildly to be honest. What are they supposed to do? Not write about the fact that he was bust in every way imaginable?
It happens all the time. It's attributed to sources not outright saying it, but it does. One of the players on my other team the Pistons was eliminated by sources before the roster was announced + not because he was injured. And when the list was announced he wasn't on + you could tell from interviews prior he already figured it out or was told.
We have to agree to disagree on the other stuff.
Who was that?
Lamar had a small chance of making the team because of the caliber of players. Had he had a great year like last year, because coach K loves him and his great play, possibly he could have gotten him on the team especially if there is injury to Bosh or Love. After this season, it is really slim that he would make the team unless all the big players are out and they have no choice but to pick him. The committee doesnt eliminate players just in case they might need them, unless i guess for criminal activities.
Lamar at DFW + he is wearing his championship ring if thats whats on his other hand. I think i pretty much lost hope because he's been such a whiny a**hole through this entire process + now this ?No remorse at all.

I think it was Chauncey. Sources said he wouldn't be making it (partly because of CP3, Dwill, etc) + IIRC Chauncey was basically told prior that he wasn't going to be on it so they gave him a chance to withdraw for personal reasons out of respect because he was close to one the coaches (?) in the process + Jerry always spoke highly of him. Chauncey withdrew, but directly prior to that he was talking about how excited he was to play on the Olympic team. He had no personal issues at the time either. He just said cited something random like i want to spend time w/ my family. And from his interviews you could tell he was disappointed + it wasn't his "choice". I can go back + dig this up but i was (+ still am) a huge Pistons fans + was obsessed with that team we had when we wont he championship so i followed them closely. Now we suck
.And behavior like Lamar exhibited will knock him out of consideration definitely unless he's Kobe Bryant. If you demonstrate you're a diva, emotionally fragile, or you cant adapt to the team concept you will be cut quick. AI far more talented than Lamar is an example of this. There was even talk of not picking Melo at one point because of his attitude problems.
I's a process + I'm sure they eliminate people as they go along before the announcement date thus the "sources" leaks

Except just two years ago, Lamar was a shining star on that team and a leader. Coach K raved about him. If they need Lamar, they will have Lamar come practice and if he cannot play, he will be cut like what happenned to Rajon Rondo.
Eight players wont be picked initially, so it would hardly look like he is signaled out. Plus, as said before, he is very much on their website.
