I always thought the Kelly was a bit too dressy for me but using a canvas strap definitely makes it more casual and wearable for me everyday.I am loving this with wider strap!!!

Thank you NYmeria...this is 32 fjord ghw and I think marron fonce kelly...I am hoping that someone else chimes in to confirm the color...seller thought ebene but I think marron fonce....dark brown with definite purple undertones. I have loved looking through this thread! Still waiting on my SO Kelly which I am really hoping has that casual cool vibe. Placed in October 2018 I ordered a 32 Retourne in Etain with Graphite stitching and brushed silver hardware. It's been long enough I don't remember the name of the interior color but it's a lighter gray. I have worried about the stitching which my SA recommended. She thought since I have a few bags with light color contrast stitching the darker color would give it a different look from my other bags. It's funny that reading through the special order thread I have had second thoughts that maybe I should have gone with a brighter more fun color. So many SO bags are so colorful and beautiful, but honestly not me! This thread and the comments of others has made me more secure in my choices. Now if only I would get the call that my hopefully casual cool Kelly has arrived!

Yes! This is my thread. That picture of Nine D’Urso carrying the burgundy(?) Kelly crossbody is what made me want to buy a Kelly in the first place.
For me personally the ultimate casual cool Kelly would be a 28 or 32 retourne in a neutral color. It would be even cooler to have a vintage vibe so I’m imagining it in box leather and worn on the shoulder.
All my friends love Sellier and want a structured, statement look and don’t understand my love for retourne. I think sellier can also be cool/edgy but not the same type of chill vibe...

Thank you! I have a few different canvas straps I’m hoping will look good. My SA is hopeful it will be here soon. She can see a 32 is on its way to store and said it’s not a commonly ordered size so my hopes are high!
