It’s likely due to the trace minerals and the buffing/polishing process. Your bangle looks like one from UJ if I’m not mistaken. It’s a beautiful piece. I don’t think it’s at any bigger risk of chipping than other bangles, considering normal wear and not smashing hard into things. Lila also has a sugary texture and some small nicks due to trace minerals probably but the price UJ listed for was very reasonable considering she’s translucent. Faint lavender bangles elsewhere with lower translucency list at much higher prices.Yes. I’m worried about it chipping worse. I used new white candle wax. It was pretty easy since I had a candle scent diffuser, so I just waited for the wax to melt, and then poured it onto some areas of the bangle. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do for the chips on the edges. I just have to live with it. And I’ve definitely noticed that the chips are ONLY on the lavender parts of my bangle. The green parts are fine. I’m not sure why lavender is such a sugary color. I definitely keep this in mind for the future
