It’s likely due to the trace minerals and the buffing/polishing process. Your bangle looks like one from UJ if I’m not mistaken. It’s a beautiful piece. I don’t think it’s at any bigger risk of chipping than other bangles, considering normal wear and not smashing hard into things. Lila also has a sugary texture and some small nicks due to trace minerals probably but the price UJ listed for was very reasonable considering she’s translucent. Faint lavender bangles elsewhere with lower translucency list at much higher prices.

The carving is very pretty. At first I was leery of buying a previously owned jade piece but I’ve learned that jade doesn’t hold on to negative energies so it doesn’t need to be cleansed other than cold water.
That nephrite is a gorgeous deep green! Reminds me of a forest. May I ask where you purchased these from? Do you know the source of the nephrite? Maybe Siberian?

I am wearing Lila and Puddle. I think I will switch out bangles monthly so everyone gets attention. I read that idea on this forum somewhere and I really like it. Lila’s colour is beautiful. You can see the lavender in regular room lighting.
