Update on EastWind Jade - I have been checking on the tracked package and today it was delivered back to the seller. I messaged him on Etsy to ask if he received it and finally a refund was issued. I had sent him an invoice on PayPal to reimburse for the return shipping costs and he paid that too. What a nightmare. So glad that’s over and done with.
@moneymeister I suspect this is one of Spring’s sisters. The colouring and stone lines are very similar.
I would like to thank @Junkenpo for the advice of using hair conditioner to put on and remove bangles. It worked really well with S’more. I get so paranoid wearing 2 bangles all the time so I wanted to see how easy or difficult it was to take her off with Junkenpo’s advice. Works great, thanks! I’m wearing this green ring with Lila now. I think I’ll name this ring Leaf. She goes beautifully with Spring, which I will wear next probably.

Question - how hard would a diamond have to be rubbed against jadeite to scratch it? I accidentally bumped the top of my diamond ring against my bangle while putting on my watch. I think if the jadeite scratched, it would be obvious…?

I can’t say my experience was with jade specifically but I wear a diamond tennis bracelet that is half bezel set with 20 pointers and they scratched all of the stones in my Kimora Hello Kitty charm bracelet. I was a bit crushed but I know now not to wear them together.
Oh no!! Were they bumping a lot together? What was the material of the charms? The metal could have scratched them too.
Maybe you can put on a clear coat of wax or polish to protect the charms from further damage.
They are garnet, peridot, yellow sapphire, amethyst and rhodolite garnet. The charms bumped them a lot and I thought the bezel would be okay but the top facet it still kinda exposed on the tennis bracelet. I think I’m just not going to wear them together. The tennis bracelet never damaged my jade or nephrite because only the metal touched the jade.
I see. So it’s safe to say don’t wear jade and diamonds together if the stone might bump because the hardness of say, garnet is similar to nephrite. Thanks for sharing Cyanide Rose.
