She is too nice looking even with slight cracks so I was always wary. Yes, from jadeisus sold as a cracked bangle, so at least price was OK. But oddly enough I'm at ease now knowing for sure and maybe she's the one that joins me on those big rollercoaster rides, water sports in a deep lake, etc! Just no overnighters with her!
Fan, I thought it was hilarious too. I called two other places today who said the same thing! Obviously they are a seasonal item.
J4M, so sorry about Polly and yet now you can enjoy her in sports ect and not worry about banging her up. As much as I love my new Dargola and wear her 24/7, I'm a wreck about banging her into something.
Uli, I"m so sorry Dawn and your earrings haven't come yet. Though part of the fun is the wait, 3-4 weeks is crazy long time. Maybe stuck in customs?

Right bangle size? So far the method of measuring the 1st knuckle and pinkie knuckle on a flat surface hasn't worked for me...

It's actually the 3 middle knuckles and not the pinky included from what I understand. This is the best method that works for me. Measuring the line I put across my three knuckles.
^^ That's what I've read, too. Best fit across the three knuckles and you "should" be able to wrangle it on and off if you can fit three fingers into the diameter of the bangle. This is why I assume I'll be able to fit Iroh, even though I've never actually tried her on. Getting off is another story. PL "fits" my right hand, but such a nightmare to take off.
My right hand is waaay less flexible. It's the thumb joint on that hand, it won't smoosh down the way it does on my left. And the "meat" below the thumb is thicker padded. lol

Just wanted to ask a quick question. You know how they always say that if you tap on your Jade it will make a ringing sound because it is a natural stone and is not treated...... would that be true for other untreated natural stones like quartz or calcedony or any other untreated stones? Would they also make a ringing sound? If anybody knows this answer I would really appreciate it if you clued me in. Thanks so much.

For the record while I am a fairly active person, I only ride roller coasters and do water sports a couple of times a year or so, but this summer was the 1st time I had to worry about a jade bangle being in danger! Until this spring I hardly ever wore jade bangles and now I can't imagine doing without them ever again! 
For me the best bangle measurement is a fist like Tea's photo, but 1st knuckle to pinky knuckle with a hard ruler. This site shows a decent photo of it - don't trust the look of their jade though...

So now I don't think I can trust my ears to know the difference between a "good" ring and a "not so good" ring! But other jade sisters may be better at distinguishing them.

I agree with J4M about the ring. It doesn't mean much too me as I get different rings with wider bangles against thinner, heavier bangles with lighter bangles ect...
My grade B purple made a wonderful chime against my grade A's and some of my serpentine bangles made the highest, prettiest chimes when chimed together.
I haven't tried it with other types of stones, but you've made a good question and I'd love to hear from others if they tried it.

My hands are just like yours. My right hand doesn't want to go smaller than 55mm, but I can squish into 53mm on my left with hair conditioner or soap & water.
Aloha JKP. Mochi is doing great. I am giving him this new food that really is good for him. Only problem is it is so expensive. Anything for my furchild. LOL Guess I can't get any more Jades. LOLHi Silver Mom! How's Silver Mochi doing?
That's a good question about other stone... I don't have any sizeable pieces of other types.. hopefully other sisters can "chime" in.
