I think at least the large hop would fit a laptop. But not sure about the medium Jodie (which is my main concern, for an airport bag😅).

Large hop does fit laptop. I have used on plane and as a weekend bag but can't really speak to the wear and tear bc I have only used a handful of times, nowhere near every day, and I tend to baby my bags somewhat.
Hi everyone! I actually love the current design of the Hop bag. The design is essentially a square tote that has a triangular drop. However, the former curved style was just as beautiful. I am hesitant to purchase the large size even though I am 5’9” tall. Any updates on the medium size Hop? Below is the current width for the small and large size:
Small width - 18.10 inches
Large width - 21.30 inches
Which means the width for the medium size would be roughly 19.70 inches. Thank you so much for your help!

The 18.1 inch one is the medium, but they’re still calling it the small. It seems like they revamped the small to make it a bit bigger. If you look on the website you’ll find another small that is only 16.1 inches. That’s the original small. Not sure why they didn’t just name the 18.1 inch one medium
I have the original small but the new size is better. The opening is bigger an fits lots of stuff. The original is difficult to wear over the shoulder with a coat.
Agree the new small is way better! I’m super annoyed it wasn’t always that way. The dimensions just look better
Today I checked on my 4month old Hop that has been used and borderline abused. I found multiple stains on the leather. I wiped it with a damp soft cloth and luckily the stains disappeared!
With this bag, I do notice more people often knock over it in crowded areas because of the wider base. I was expecting to see some wear on pointy corners, but they're impeccable! No wear visible!

I purchased the Small Hop today in store.
The SA brought out 2 versions of the small, and let me know that the “smaller” small is the old version and the “bigger” small is the newer version, which is slightly bigger and a longer drop. They are both called small and priced the same. She mentioned that they received a lot of feedback about the original small being too small.
I tried on both and went with the bigger small because it felt more comfortable for me. I was wearing a tshirt. I don’t think I could wear a could wear a coat with the smaller version; it felt like it was jamming right into my armpit. I’m 5’2” and 130lbs.
I don’t carry much in my purses: card case, phone, chapstick, keys, sunglasses. Sometimes a hair clip and small hand lotion. My items fit with more than enough room with either bag, but the bigger version felt easier to get in and out.

Thanks for this! Interesting that all the dimensions got bigger, except for the depth which got slimmer. Now that I’m thinking about it, the change in depth makes sense because I felt like I could more comfortably put my arm down with the new one, likely because it’s slimmer.
Lol I almost posted the same thing. When I went on BV website to get the dimensions for comparison I was checking out the current colors to see if I might need a 3rd hop lol
Did anyone else see the crazy price increase that just happened today? Mini Hop went from $2,650 to $3,100 and Small went from $3,300 to $3,900!! Definitely rethinking this now...
