Calfskin.Which one of the leathers is generally heavier? Calfskin or lambskin? I remember an SA telling me that one of the two tends to be significantly heavier but I can’t remember which one of them he said it was.

yeppersI like this bag, however, I just feel like it will start curling up on the ends after a while.
What size did she get?I fell in love with it after Kaitlin on our team photographed it for our site! She actually purchased it while in Paris, so looking forward to a review from her!
Could you post a picture please?Hi everyone! I bought the small one in black and have been using for about a week. Initially, I was concerned about the small opening but after a day or two did not even think about it. You can't put in something large like a mead notebook or laptop, but everything else I have is easy to put in and take out (phone, long wallet, sunglasses, toiletry pouch, and paperback). It got smooshier each day and is now easy to sling over my shoulder (I am 5'3'' and "pleasantly plump"). The corners look much more squared off in pictures than in real life, maybe coz they are standing up in most pics.
Overall, anyone on the fence about buying sight unseen highly recommend!
A hobo that is not a shoulder bag just seems wrong.I spoke to my SA and was informed the small won’t go over a coat and tight over a T shirt so it’s a no go for me. I need some shoulder carry option.
Calfskin holds up so much better though? I’ve always been so hesitant on getting the jodie since it’s lambskin so not as durable. I was looking forward to trying the hop as an alternative! While I like the opening and the small size the squared corners are a poor design for a slouchy bag. I’ve had to just get over the larger intrecciato but calfskin is a no-go for me.
My observation is that the smaller woven lambskin holds up really well compared to, let’s say Chanel quilted lambskin (so delicate) or other flat surface lambskin bags. Calfskin seems heavier and in a large bag may to too heavy for my taste. That’s the beauty of BV lambskin intrecciato - wears really well and is so lightweight and soft. I’ve not had problems with BV lambskin until the Jodie in the larger weave. Maybe that’s why BV is using calfskin on the Hop? Anyway, comments on the weight of the bag would be interesting here.Calfskin holds up so much better though? I’ve always been so hesitant on getting the jodie since it’s lambskin so not as durable.
