Okay, I know no one has posted to this thread in a couple of months, but I just got a Hip and I'm immensely distracted by something I hadn't noticed prior to my buying the Hip. It appears as though there's something missing from the elements that we all have come to know and love in the design of a Balenciaga bag. Look at the 2 buckles on the lower corners of the Hip. Notice anything? There's no patch of leather behind the buckle!! I don't know if I'm describing this correctly, but look at another b-bag, like the First, the City, even the Makeup, which is so similar to the Hip -- they all have this pointy shaped patch of leather on the corners and the buckle sits on top of that patch of leather. I hope I'm making sense to someone out there. I'm SO DISTRACTED by this missing "design feature" on the Hip. Was it intentional? If so, WHY?! Those patches of leather are even on the Ticket, for Pete's sake. And not to drive the point into the ground, but they're also on the Makeup AND the Shoulder -- both of which is like a twin of the Hip! I'm baffled... Please chime in if anyone understands or has any opinion about this at all... Has anyone noticed this before me? Does it bother anyone?
