Hi all,

I am new to the purse forum.
I recently purchased a classic gold hip in black from neiman. Looking at all of your wonderful pictures, it seems like all of your hips have the clasp on the side. The one I bought doesn't have the clasp, like yours. I really do like the clasp. Does anyone know if Balenciaga redesigned the bag? What's up with that? :/

Yes they redesigned it this year! I bought one in march 2012 from Balenciaga nyc boutique w/o the metal buckle.

I just received a pair of the Rouge Cardinal Giant Gold Hardware T-strap sandal from MarchesFashion.com, which I love so much. I own a similar pair in the Rose Thulian color with Giant Silver Hardware.... Anyway, I saw the Hip bag in the same color/hardware combo at Neimans and was considering to get it, but wasn't sure about how much use I'd get out of it being a really small bag.... but your pics show me that it actually fits quite a lot... So, off I go to get it! Thank you!

would you mind checking the "made in italy" tag on your Hip? The one I've purchased from ebay has it in lower case letters but I'm seeing a lot of them in upper case as well. I'm confused by the discrepancy.

I wonder, has anyone tried using the strap from the hip on their bal city to make it crossbody? or is the city too heavy for the strap (since one or both sides are not the metal clasp?)
