look at this hem.. It‘s not disturbing me enough to return it but I would expect better for 450 swissies... and another girl on IG had actual tiny blotches of paint all over her design (kachinas wash) - makes you wonder where quality control is...
then there is the issue of the backside not being as saturated anymore. I also feel like many colorways have less colors (eg the red blue giraffe scarf) which is what i mean by reduced complexity. I agree that acte III was an exception to that, so was cosmo and it’s definitely not all the scarves. others say that the cashmeres used to be thicker and less pilly- which I can’t comment on because I have just recently started. also - look at the moussies this season. the colorways are uber simple... IDK - this is just my opinion but i don’t like the trend I‘m seeing and I will be extra careful examining my silks before purchase going forward
ITA about the reduced complexity. It seems H is choosing a couple of designs each season to give it the whole kaleidoscopic color treatment - Act III, Cosmo and Animapolis, to name a few. Then the rest of the designs get maybe three or four different colors. I am also disappointed with the moussie offering this season.

Also, that is a shame about your hem. :crybaby:

this baby - as unexcited as I am for the rest - as excited I am for this one

Ooh, yes! This works so much better in the giant format!!!

I agree with so much of what you state here. The CWs are especially bothering me with the new season scarves, making it almost impossible to choose. I mean, where is black? Why has black been replaced by brown everywhere? Ugghh! And, quality is questionable as well. I remember the issue with your hems recently and that is unacceptable.

Agree... The color family issue is malarkey, indeed. And, I must agree with you about Acte III... truly a wonderful design, but that was from Fall/Winter 2018

Yes, I can’t really do browns as well. I wondered about blacks, too. But I’m sure women who can wear browns are loving the last couple of seasons!

You Look absolutely lovely in this !!! ( by the “radiation” of your smile, I think you feel it too :-))))

Years and Seasons ,I no longer keep track, but one thing is always sure ; they will always come up with more gorgeousness .
I thought I was through with Hermès this season ( nearly last season  ) but I did find something I liked.

That’s certainly well below par, did you return it?
I don’t buy mousselines in store but friends have spotted pulls and snags on those offered for sale , on pointing out the SA withdrew them.
I’m glad I no longer await seasons with excitement, I love seeing everyone’s choices on tpf, but I no longer feel impelled to seek out for myself.Just the odd purchase now , which is just as well considering the Maths!

now that is exactly the mindspace I want to have! So I’m rationalizing myself out of it :)

I didn’t return it, I figured it was the last one at the store and its not so noticeable when you wear it.

Beverly Hills has only one Three Graces and nothing else new until after the new year. I think this cw has been shown before but here’s another mod shot if it helps anyone. I love giraffes but I think it’s a little too giraffey for me...
You think? I like it on you. The brown one is beautiful on you. You carry it well. I want one or two for myself. The scale of the giraffe pattern probably takes getting used to (took me all of 2 minutes to like it!). A scarf like this is dramatic and it's not for shy retiring types. Joannadyne, if you can carry purple or red hair -- which you absolutely can, you can carry the giraffe pattern.

I have a giraffe printed dress that's an olive green with the spots a darker olive than the dark sage background. I quite like the dress -- I have a matching jacket. I don't know which giraffe scarf would go with this dress, but I expect the brown one to blend well with the outfit's muted earthy colors. H nicely anticipated my desire for something giraffey -- I've been looking at giraffe jewelry for the past year.

I'm not that excited by anything we've seen so far. Which honestly I'm happy about, as I spent so much money on F/W'19 and my wallet could use a break! I find that many of the designs are super busy, which leads to them all looking somewhat same-y? I thought I would love the Animapolis MT Slim but I hate that they've broken up the design with a bunch of pointless plain stripes.

And frankly I'm disgusted by the modeling shots Hermes chosen. Half of the time they consist of photoshop that looks like it was done by a first grader. The other half of the time they use ridiculous ties (pirate, around a Birkin, bra - as if I want my Hermes scarf stained by boob sweat) that don't in any way reflect how the scarf would look when us normal mortals wear it.So it's impossible to judge how much I will like a scarf from the modeling shots alone. This is very frustrating when compared to other couture houses which even have animated shots that show the product from all sides, etc.

The only development that seems exciting is that there are so many scarves with bright yellow in them. I love yellow clothes and accessories so I'll have to try a few of those in store.
I do hope you model or at least point out the scarves with bright yellow b/c I am a big yellow fan too. I didn't think there were than many bright yellows in this new collection. I am quite happy to stand corrected. Vive jaune vif!

I bet some enterprising H corporate type is now dreaming of creating an "H boob parfum." :)
You're quite right that we don't get to see the scarves in the round when they are presented. The problem with removing clothes for advertising is that once that happens, more and more clothing gets removed until ads start showing more skin than clothing. Shouldn't the scarf or the outfit combo be the center of attention more so than the fact that the model isn't wearing anything under her jean jacket?

I went to the store today and got to see a lot of the new scarves. They aren't up on my country website yet so it was a lot of fun. I didn't get pictures as most weren't on the floor yet but my SA kindly brought out 6 or 7 of the new patterns for me to see. There seemed to be a big variety of styles and colourways (they had five colourways for plumes!). I wound up purchasing two different scarves. There was only one scarf of my wishlist that has not come in yet.

I did see the CGSM and silk of the three graces in brown. I thought they were very beautiful even though I won't be purchasing it. They also had the CGSM of cosmographia in red which was stunning.

A quick mode shot of the new heart ring.

It's really pretty and it's a pure ornament. It cannot be used to secure the twilly since it's not quite possible to pass both ends in the hole. I have tried it on my gavroche and it does not work.

Maybe some other TPFers will find other ways to use it.
Wow, beautiful the way you have it tie around like that. Thanks for sharing:heart:
