Thanks for taking the time with all this. Yes, it seems like the corners make this difficult to tie. Also it looks like the underside is very white, which was the problem with A L'ombre des Pivoines. Is that true?I love how the feathers stand out in this CW as well as the wide variety of colors in the feathers. Also, I wanted something that would have black, which is a color sorely missing in this collection. This CW has dark enough spots that could pass for black and this was a positive for me. But, I don’t know how I feel about so much white. It’ll be great in summer, no doubt, but I do love the pink and orange CWs and wish to see them IRL... I may still wish to exchange this one for either one of those two... or the yellow.
Haha! Thorough I am... The design is gorgeous
My pleasure... Thanks so much. I am also considering the pink as I am not 100 convinced about this one.
Those knots are actually very simple to tie.
For the second knot you need a chaine d’ancre or buckle-style scarf ring. You fold the scarf once to make a wide rectangle and drape over shoulders with all four points facing forward and down over your chest. Then you insert every single point ip through the openings of the scarf ring, two points to each opening, and fluff out
For the third knot you hold the scarf completely open in front of you and holding both top corners you make loose accordion or bellows folds all the way down until the scarf looks like a long, fluted tube. Then, you insert the silk tube through a bolduc or plain round scarf ring until the ring is in the center. You then take the two upper points like a bib and tie to back of your neck. The rest of the huge swath of fabric will be draped down in front of you. Then, you take the bottom two points hanging down and loop them to make a bow.
The turquoise is truly amazing as are all the feather details
I took a pic of cw 05 with the underside showing if that helps? Also it looks like the underside is very white, which was the problem with A L'ombre des Pivoines. Is that true?

Love those colors, esp. the bright lime green that punctuates the other colors. The hem is very gorgeous, too. Great shots, Fifi. Here are some modeling shots with Plumes en Fête CW1. The light was poor as this was late afternoon on a very gloomy day

Thank you very much for all the great photos and the many artful ways to tie the scarf so skillfully allowing to see the variety of the design, too. Although you are wearing the perfectly fitting blouses, I don't really know how I like the broad white border in - IMO - quite noticeable contrast to the beautiful feathers. Here are some modeling shots with Plumes en Fête CW1. This CW and 03 (the creamy gray, and soft yellows - I think this could make up for missing out on the yellow PdS) are the two I'm interested in; but I am also concerned about the white corners and the big swath of white in the center.I love how the feathers stand out in this CW as well as the wide variety of colors in the feathers. Also, I wanted something that would have black, which is a color sorely missing in this collection. This CW has dark enough spots that could pass for black and this was a positive for me. Thank you for an explanation. I used to do it with two different twillys, but never done it with twins. Quite clever! It’s two twillys tied together in the back, that’s why in the picture both sides are the same, I tied it that way. You could also tie it so one is showing the other side of the twilly.
