This may be a silly question but... when will the majority of the seasonal scarves be available in store? I do not want to go all the way there and found only 1-2 are there.

thanks in advance
This is probably a silly answer, but for me at my home boutique, the scarves trickle in at a maddeningly slow pace. I no longer imagine that there will be some optimum period when I will see a range of cws for any one design so that I can compare and pick which I prefer. Now I try to guess which cws I am most likely to prefer, based frequently on the pics here, and then my dear SA keeps an eye out for them for me.

Not silly at all! This is also my perception but I thought I was doing something wrong... great idea to just “chase” what you think will be suitable.

thanks

This is how mine is too. My SA knows what I like and he puts things aside for me until I can get there.

Yes! You said it so eloquently, it is sad not having the large choice in front of your eyes in the store, I discovered many offbeat cws in that fashion , not weird ones but those that were not so great online as to catch my attention

I like your seeing the bright side! I have had some happy finds with that approach too. But the fact remains for me that I will likely buy much less in the future, not being able to see the range of what is offered.

agreed- and having to wait so long just increases my chances of allocation the $ to a previous season find. c'est la vie, I guess....

There are a couple I really like the look of, but by the time they might appear on the website season is almost gone anyway, so I might as well wait for someone to get tired of one and sell it.....

I definitely buy less because I'm waiting to compare CWs, so I get frustrated waiting, then I decide that I didn't need the scarf after all. It was very helpful when we were able to share advance pix on these threads!!! We all bought more! The H games don't always work to their advantage.

Saw some new stuff today at Madison. The phone app still doesn't work, so I hope these post OK:
La Source de Pegase, by Pierre Marie, has Greek writing. Some very bright CWs, one nice green/blue. I don't totally understand this design.
This seems to be a winged pegase with wings similar to the stretched out bars of a scarf from about 5-6 years ago, point d'orgue. And, if that's not enough, Pegase is dolled up with a ornamental headdress like horses in merry-go-rounds wear. To illustrate:

I get a kick out of how the HS scarf patterns repeat in obvious and not-so-obvious ways. This is not a bad thing: Jackson Pollock did his drip paintings (in the 1950s) and that's what he stuck to b/c he was good at it. Now, If Yves Saint Laurent was in charge of creating HS, I'm sure he would call this Pegase
scarf "Hommage to Point d'orgue and Carousel Horse scarf." BTW, I do think the Pegase scarf is quite pretty and is one I would be likely to get despite my tongue-in cheek remarks.

Some new ones have appeared on the US website! pant pant pant

Thanks for letting us know. Maybe it is me, but I looked at the new Aline Honore design, Plumes en Fete, and I burst out laughing when I looked at the modeling pictures. The three modeling pictures are showing the scarf worn on the head. A certain Yiddish word came to mind immediately. It is beautiful, but really??

Thanks, QKay! Really? The headscarves again? Between that and the colors not being accurate on the website, one has little idea as to whether they would suit. Frustrating. This was a scarf I thought I might be interested in, but it is impossible to tell. Will rely on mod shots and trying them on myself before pulling the trigger on these.

At least the models look a bit friendlier than the one for AW19
