I wonder if this design will top the charts for category of “Gotta see it, not gotta buy it”.
I so love the design, not sure about the wearing of it.
Still waiting to see it, but suspect it might be impractical for me. I'll have to be bowled over by the design to the point that I blindly hand over the cash.

I speak from having seen only photos on tpf, but this seems to be another gimmicky one to me. The round shape is immaterial when it is tied normally. You could wear it as a cape as in the H.com photos... but how many of us wear capes on a regular basis, really? And how would that cape look even stay in place - the slippery silk would shift or fall off the second you move. As for the pegasus design, that also mostly disappears when you tie it, so that it just looks like a black and white dotted scarf. It is 100% silk, it has less material than a 140 square, and yet it costs the same as a CSGM?

So sorry all - especially @mktlim, I wrongly read my SA's email - she did quote it as $1600 cad + tax. My vision isn't what it used to be.......Now I'm even more on the fence about - especially since it has to be brought in from another Canadian boutique as mine didn't order it. Appreciate all the IRL photos of the scarf by tpfers to aid my decision.

No worries @shrpthorn! I'm on the fence about keeping mine. I haven't tried to tie it in different ways that aren't posted here yet.

They probably knew it might not sell....my store only got one and they didn't really display it like the regular scarves!

I tried on two cws of the Three Graces shawl yesterday. Didn't think I would like it, especially the red and blue. But darn it, I loved it and came home with it. (And Sweet Dreams.) Also tried the red and blue paisley, which despite protesting red and blue, I will probably go back for amd the Source de Pegase.

No C'est la Fete, Three Graces silks or Claire de Lune yet.

(Excuse the atrocious sweater - I was running around doing errands and didn't plan on,scarf shopping - as well as the fuzziness of the pics.)

Thanks for taking the time to do this, in spite of the slightly disapproving SA.

I second with your comment. I was excited to seeing this design. Its color and graphic pattern are not attractive and not much different when presenting different knots. I definitely skip this time.

No doubt it is an master piece when pin on the wall.

Hope for next release will have be some colourful / busy choices.

This season has so much new format like double sides 90cm, 20cm. I will save my budget for other scarves that really really eager to bring them home.

Yeah I agree - so many of this season's scarves seem gimmicky: heart shaped pocket squares, round scarves, nano scarves, two 90s sewn end to end... None of these inventions have appealed to me. In the meantime the regular scarves have lost interest IMO: all super busy designs whose subtleties are lost when you tie them, exact same colors from scarf to scarf, reissues of designs from only one season ago... It's really striking that I have not had any desire to purchase this season's scarves, whereas I bought four from the last season and even have my eye on a couple more. Like you I think I will save my budget and not spend it on this season's scarves.

You are welcome!

She is a good egg :) She knows that while I buy a number of scarves, I also take some shots purely to post here for everyone. (In fact, she says I usually know more about what is going on with silks than she does, thanks to you all!)
