The feather treatment is magnificent on the PenF and the yellow is yummy! Love the peachy accents in it and it looks wonderful on you. (And a BIG wow to all for your fab finds in 2019. I didn't want to clog up the ending over in the SOTD 2019 and make the link hard to see- but AMAZING!)

Quick post- completely exhausted from the day trip to H where I met up with @Jbizzybeetle for some scarf fun! Twins now with @Ladybaga on Three Graces CW 05! :ghi5: (Sorry- my lipstick had worn off by then!)

I also tried on the CSGM of this in the orange and pink/lavender CW and highly recommend it if you like brights! I loved it but forgot to take a pic.

Beautiful on you BC!
Thank you so much - these are lovely... I am really intrigued by the yellow PeF!
I picked up this Cosmographia CSGM yesterday. View attachment 4631128 View attachment 4631127 Apologies for the bad picture and poor lighting.
Oh - that’s beautiful!

I also picked up the Patchwork Horse GSGM yesterday in this cw14. I took this pic from the Hermes web site and the description on the web site says it is 70% cashmere, 30% silk but my receipt lists this scarf as 65% cashmere 35% silk. The Cosmographia I bought at the same time is listed on the receipt at 70% cashmere 30% silk. I hadn’t realized they did different mixes of cashmere to silk for different scarves.3CB91AF4-E268-46C1-8CE9-4FEB68E89052.jpeg

They keep repeating the red/white/blue scheme every season. I know the French flag is also RWB, but I don't think H realizes that most Americans don't want to dress all year like they are going to a 4th of July party. Maybe these colors work better in other countries.
So true. Maybe it's just too "easy." Unusual color combinations can be really challenging for people. A lot of the color combinations this season just don't work for me. I know seasoned scarfies really like the surprising pallettes, but I could see why this is a crowd pleaser. It's basic. It's easy. It's familiar. People like red and blue.

Black white and gray is also a crowd pleaser. I wonder why they couldn't have given up on one of the red white and blues for a different palette? It's disappointing that they doubled down this season with multiple similar colorways. One is mostly blue with red and white details while another is mostly white with red and blue details. One is light blue and blue. Another is medium blue with blue. In a way, I like the exploration of how scarves change looks slightly based on different coloring; I would rather see that as a behind the scenes look into the atelier, not at the scarf counter.

The coloring this year feels stale and boring. (Plumes en fete are the exception for me. For some reason, all those colors feel wonderfully fresh.) But that's okay. My wallet is breathing a sigh of temporary relief. Last season was full of beautiful things I had to have.

The Plumes with the touches of bright yellow is stunning on you! I hope this scarf, or another with some of that yellow, eventually goes home with you.

What does the tag on the actual shawl say?

I noticed this last season with PDV and La Madison, some colorways were 70/30 and others were 65/35..

maybe the colors require a different ratio?? Anyone know why the difference in cashmere:silk ratio??
