Oh thank you Saranga, those photos are wonderful. Isn’t that scarf stunning, so multifaceted, incredible. I didn’t realise I was going to be buying a second csgm within an hour! This thread is dangerous! All those colours are so me.
I’m not going into London for a while so am limited as to what is on h.com. Having said that though I am happy with the cw7 as I saw it in real life when they had just launched, I loved it but I was on the start of my silk journey and wasn’t sure. I think the cw 03 is lovely but like you I’m not sure about that bright blue.
All ordered, that’s it, I’m on a no spend for the rest of the summer, unless of course a samourai silk comes up.
Thank you. As soon as I posted my pos5 asking about the scarf, then I saw it pop up on the US site. I snagged it right away. Now I’m waiting for the pink/gray one.
Did you also buy the 01 Jaguar CSGM? Within an hour? LOL Congrats again. Hermes is a slippery slope.
It is a very gorgeous shawl, very colorful and happy! The only thing I didn't love very much was how yellow the jaguar's coat was, but twas only an issue (for me, that is) if you truly wear it like a shawl, folded into triangle and draped over shoulders, which I tried to show in my pics.
Did you buy Samourai 07 shawl too? Lol!

Samourais is just too beautiful for word - hope folks don’t mind me sharing another photo of cw06 - I find myself keep staring at different parts of the scarf as I wore it. I am now sooo tempted to get cw05 or cw07 . Really appreciate all the photos shared earlier as they led me to this beautiful blue scarf

Understand that prior to this season I had three CSGMs total. And before last year I pretty much only had one. Samourais is an amazing design. I think any other season JQ would be the runaway hit, but Samourais is definitely one of those GMs that will be a ‘grail’, like Tohu Bohu or Turandot or, in a prior lifetime, Renconte Oceane.

I think you are absolutely right about the JQ would have been a runaway hit and I suspect when its gone it will gain ground quickly.
To keep it on topic, one of the virtues of these particular designs is that, like Samourais, they were offered in a variety of cws with an emphasis on jewel tones but (with the exception of Turandot, which was only available for one season in silk 90cm only) also neutral options. Tohu Bohu (offered two seasons for silk and two for cashmere) has a dedicated thread here, but essentially it’s a series of concentric circles, very modern, while Rencontre Oceane (one season silk, one season mousseline) was an underwater scene, more detailed than Under the Waves. A quick search on eBay will yield plenty of pictures - Tohu and Turandot still commend fairly high prices while the Rencontre no longer does.
ETA: I probably spend more time organizing them than I do wearing them. Even after all these years CSGMs are precious to me and I’m always afraid I’ll damage one, this is why for so long I really didn’t keep more than one or two (I’ve been buying for 20 years [emoji51]).
