My first mod shot in the scarf section—Grand Prix CW04—in natural light.
Excellent, fortunate choices! Happy early birthday. The blues make your eyes sparkle.Back home now so a couple of modelling pics. I am very happy that I also got my hands on an Histoires des Carrés for SS. There's a first! I have put the "salmon" part of PdS next to the orange 90 and an H box for colour comparison. Maybe it's my eyes but I would not call this colour salmon. Unless it is just Scottish salmon that tend to be more pink! I would definitely put this on the orange spectrum.

I think both is perfectly understandable TGG! I do like being organized and this just pleases me but it’s really not for everyone! [emoji8]
Thank you! I enjoy being able to go back and use the pictures for reference.
Its something I genuinely enjoy, PT. I have pics of most of the scarves I’ve ever had except for the first few, and wouldn’t you know they are pretty rare (gold Qalamdan, anyone?) I’ve thought about doing a scarf thread with what I’ve got, I could certainly keep it going for a while!
I would *devour* any thread you start!!I think both is perfectly understandable TGG! I do like being organized and this just pleases me but it’s really not for everyone! [emoji8]

A few modelling shots of PdS CW09. I've seen a few others in the thread, but not many so:View attachment 3972399

Of the two, the second photo (at least on my monitor) shows the colours as they appear to me IRL.
It is more vivid IRL than in the pictures of the CWs, and is rather interesting; the absinthe gives it a fresh kick. I didn't take it home with me, despite being heavily enabled by the SA and my friends. I may return to pick it up...
Well, my birthday isn't until Monday but I have just bought my prezzie from DH. I really wanted to love Jeu des Cartes but it just didn't work for me. Jeu des Omnibus however was a stunner on. And I got the only bleu cabane Samouraïs. Happy days!!View attachment 3971274View attachment 3971275
Thanks so much, TGG - I definitely will!!
I love that these colors are completely unlike anything I have ever had before and I'm not particularly into cards (I don't even play in Vegas). I LOVE that the cards were designed by A.M. Cassandre, the Art Deco artist famous for his travel posters (I had a framed poster of the Normandie in my apartment back when I was in law school). The bits of color on the face cards sealed it for me.
I started photographing my H purchases for my own records way back when I started buying....lots of different angles and folds and sometimes just a mashup to show color scheme. That's why it's always the floor or the mannequin with a white shirt; simple with no distractions (except that distracting mannequin pattern, grrr...)
To give you an idea...my photo files....

And just the 90s section. No, I don't have most of these anymore, but I keep the files:

Of course we do! [emoji173]️[emoji173]️ you will love this....it's my new "wild card" scarf (ugh, stop me before I pun again....)
Yes! I always loved that book (And the crazy movie, too)!
Oh thank you, Moma, thrilled to be twins with you, too!! [emoji8]

This is exactly it, @papertiger. I am smitten with the design, but finding myself not in love with the CW. I liked it so much, but it didn't make my heart sing. Can't put a finger on what...Once one builds a large collection, one learns that new additions need to speak to you - otherwise they are left lonely and rarely worn. Having said that, it is a gorgeous piece - and I am convinced it will make someone giggle with glee.Great cw on you. I liked it very much but somehow it wasn't total love and I left it too. I'm worried about getting caught-up in the Samurai frenzy, people who truly love and adore should have first chance.
