I love the Samurai design! Got the shawl in blue/grey but was also very tempted by the dark/very vibrant blue panther.

I've got no idea how you ladies know all these things: what is a CW? And all these numbers: 05, 06 etc.? What does that mean? Is there a post explaining it? Could somebody please point me in the right direction to read about it? It would be much appreciated!

In my case, when it comes to silk scarfs and cashmeer shawls, I basically just go into the store and try things on  I am really amazed at how many colours and work go into some of these designs!

Hi MaryandDogs!
CW refers to the "colorway" of each scarf. The various colors presented in one particular scarf. The predominant colors of that CW are written on the paper tag. If you go to the Hermes Website, or even search the Hermes stock pics on this thread, you will see numbers like 05, 07, 12 etc..... These numbers classify the colorway. Not all colorways are ordered by the Sales Manager or Director. The store where I shop may order certain colorways of a scarf design that, say, Madison Avenue may not consider. If you see a colorway on line that you like, you can have your sales associate track it down for you. Hope this helps!
