I am so sorry to hear this!! :sad: I hope the run is not too bad...Thank you for sharing this information!!:flowers:

And thank you:
@werner
@Pautinka
@FizzyWater
@Bova123

For all your helpful comments!!:flowers:

Thankfully it was a pretty small run within a CM of the tag, but dang...I was soooo bummed. And just to be clear, I HAVE used the seam ripper before (loads) to remove H tags this was just an epic fail that convinced me to never do it again!
FYI - the new H tags are sewn on tight!!

Speaking from personal experience, PLEASE DO NOT USE A SEAM RIPPER!! I did this just the other day with my brand new Tigre Royal bandana and immediately put a run in the scarf :(
Seam rippers place a great amount of stress on the thread and surrounding areas which can be damaged when you pull the thread against the sharp end to cut. Scissors may be difficult to maneuver but they are far less likely to cause a pull in your silk.

Thanks for the warning!!!! I was about to cut mine off after work today. It’s so annoying.

Oh no. I am so sorry to hear that. Thank you for sharing....my seam ripper will stay in my sewing box.

I am so sorry to hear about your scarf!! I just put a minor snag through one of mine and it's an awful feeling! I hope it's not too bad. If you live near a boutique they can send it off for repair (did that with a few and the cost was not as high as I'd feared).

Thanks for warning us against the seam ripper. I'd ordered one on Amazon last night but cancelled it after reading your post!!

At my desktop where i type better, I think they are running out of room on the laminated tags for all those long exotic color names (Bleu Klein or Bleu Nattier) and no one understands them anyway - too subtle - so they are trying a new system
Evidence shows ...
1. Some of the 2018SS laminated tags have 3 color names, spelled out - could be 4 words for a composite color like Rose Pale - confusing
2. Some of the 2018SS laminated tags have 4 color names , spelled out - the first one might be Menthe or Quetsche (plum).
3. Some of the 2018SS laminated tags have a code + 3 color names - the code might be QU (Quadrichrome ? Quetsch ?) PU (Purplish ?), DJ (Dans un jardin?) , VE (vert ? veggie ?) one can vaguely imagine a code for each of the color families in the look books, see photos copied from earlier in this thread - taken from a store book , not available to the general public ?
A galactically consistent implementation (not !) ..
If you add a color family, then it might allow you to use shorter generic color names eg Bleu not Bleu Nattier
I am not sure the color family system has been a success based on the fact that no one here has really discussed this, noticed it, and asked their SA for an explanation and the color scheme thing works only if the customers have ready access to the look book where the color group is defined - which is not the case ?
And, oh by the way, the story book for 2018SS has been shared here, but the regular scarf book is MIA

I wouldn't mind if they have to make longer tags to fit the full color names in, but with smaller care tags.

I have a question about CW2 for Jaguar, in both silk and CSGM.

I just noticed that for the 90cm, the jaguar is an icy blue. While for CSGM, it has its "natural" colors, which I prefer.

But all the other colors appear to be the same. Is this right or are one of the photos wrong?

Posting stock pics of both silk and CSGM. Sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere; if it was, I missed it :)

Trying to pick a Jaguar CSGM and I prefer the ones where the jaguar has its natural colors (aside from the dark blue/gray one). Trying to narrow down my choices!

They look different. See the lower left corners. Again, different colors.

I’m so in love with my two most recent scarves, the smaller of which looks better on my pup :giggle:

You are too kind, Moma! Next time I’m at a store I will try on some “wash-me-out!” cws and take some pics just for you. [emoji12]
Is there a particular cw of Favolosa you’re considering? This is the one I was talking about - the colors are gorgeous but it’s too bold - you can’t see practically any elements of the design.

ETA: At second glance, maybe that’s just because of the way I tied it... will have to look at it again.

BUT - this is the same cw as the Sea Surf and Fun one.

And although Im chomping at the bit to see it, Modernisme Tropical 140 comes in a similar cw too.

Agree with BBC and others about why H would make all the cws so homogenized. This season’s designs are almost all hits, but color is equally important. Whoever made that decision should be flogged with a wet noodle. Or made to wear all the similar cws and forced to guess which is which while hooked up to a machine that gives ‘em a slight shock every time they get an answer wrong. Heh heh.
Are you kidding me? Yellow? LOLOL. Isn't the color called "cuivre"? I *was* considering this one, but I see what you mean. It doesn't really work. Thank you!

Like marietouchet said, H has not done it consistently. And when a scarf does not fit a particular CW-family (the abbreviation is also not indicated on the tag of that scarf), the correct colours are used online.

Just to be clear: menthe is NOT short for méditerranée. Menthe is a colour. Whoever is responsible for the H online content has (incorrectly) changed the abbreviation on the name/CW tag that indicates the CW-family (ME, QU, DJ, PS, VE or PU) to an actual colour.
Below an example of a tag and the corresponding screenshot from h.com that shows ME is changed to menthe (not my scarf, just a pic I saved). Hope this makes sense.:flowers:

Major fail. Someone didn't get the memo! That's what they get for making up this dumb new color family system, LOL.
