I'm a male and I've had several 37cms. 34cm is the next size down, then 31 and then 28.

Even though 37cm is the biggest the 37 is not a "big" bag. It will fit my 13" macbook pro and many other things but this is not a bag to be stuffed to capacity for many reasons- the shape doesn't accommodate it and it isn't good for the bag structurally- puts a lot of stress on certain parts of the panels.

I'm 5'9" and the 37 I think looks ideal on me. The strap that comes w/the bag is adjustable but for my height even the shortest setting causes the bag to sit too low so I went with a different strap that is shorter (see my prev post). If you're 6 foot or taller then this shouldn't be a problem. Feel free to ask any more ?s!

I can't recommend the jypsiere enough. It is a rare bag, esp in the 37cm size, it is very unique, and is very comfortable to wear, esp when carried shoulder style.
Thanks for the quick insight. Yes, I am 6ft 1...so that helps to get an idea of how the bag will sit on me. I'm debating between this and the K Depeches 38. Honestly my intention would be to use this as a briefcase/messenger: MacBook Pro 15", plus charger, and some headphones, and a few other things. Do you think at the very least the 15" computer would fit? I think it's roughly 14.5" long x 10" tall.

I don't think a 15" computer will fit into the 37cm jypsiere- my 13" really is pushing the limits w/the bag (I was actually surprised it fit when I first inserted it). If you have a 15" computer I'd go for a birkin 40 or HAC40 to be on the safe side...or one of the other men's bags that are pretty generously sized.

You endorsement has made me rethink. A few years ago I discounted considering a Jypsiere because of its triangular profile that made it narrower at the top than the bottom. I might reinvestigate.

Absolutely gorjus bag. I have one in black in 37cm and just love it. There's nothing else like it on the market and I switched out the strap by ordering some from the attached etsy vendor in shorter lengths and it completely changed the game. Now instead of a cross-body bag it is a shoulder bag and the shape of the bag is just perfect for that. Consider 50, 60, or 70cm if this may be of interest.
Yes, I actually did order a few different sized straps on Etsy! Can't wait to change them out to try different looks!! Thank you!

Hello, I am relatively new here and, as a guy, this beauty is one of the few bags that caught my attention (besides a B35/B40 or Kelly Depeches briefcase).

Does anyone know the sizes these come in (I searched online and saw everything ranging from 26 to 39---maybe someone mis-measured?)

Any guys here have this bag, or do any of you ladies know any men that carry (and enjoy) this bag? What size is appropriate for a male?
Hi, just wanted to make a note that I was just chatting with my SA about these Jypsiere bags because now I am super interested in the new mini that is coming out. He told me that the larger bags have been discontinued. So sizes 34 and above are discontinued. But, you can find a ton of them on the preloved market I believe.

I love that I just found this forum! I am new to Hermes. I just purchased the Jypsiere 28 in Gold Clemence. I really wasn't expecting to buy a bag. I went in to exchange a pair of shoes that I had to order through my SA because they didn't have them in the store. But the size that I picked ended up being too big so I had to bring them back. During my first visit there (trying to find shoes) I was chatting with him and I said I just cannot believe you have ZERO bags in the store to sell!? I would love to look at some and feel them and try them on. Like, what is going on? Then he said what are you looking for and I showed him a picture of this J bag. I have been interested in it because it's a crossbody and I love the style of it. So he said he would make a note of it and let me know if he ever gets one in. Well a week or so later I went in to do the exchange and he said I actually have the bag here that you want. I was not prepared to buy a bag that day, but then the idea of losing it got the best of me, and I caved. lol. Now, I have been doing more research and watching video reviews about this bag and started to read some horrible ones. Saw a few You Tube videos of people saying how much they hated this bag. I was like, OMG what?!?!?!?! So I started to freak out that I made a HUGE mistake. But, now I realize that it really is personal preference and for the money that we spend on H bags, you have to get what YOU like and what works for you. This J-28 is that bag for me! So happy to hear all of you talking about your love and positive experiences with this bag! And love the tips about changing the strap too!! I am petite at 5'0, so the strap that comes with the bag is still a little too long for me. Looking forward to changing it up! This is my first H bag, and I feel I made the right decision now.
I have a 31 in Argile. It was love at first sight. I first owned the 34 but thought it was too big so I sold it. After the 31 which I love I would be willing to add a 34 back to my collection. Enjoy your bag. I love it

...or one of the other men's bags that are pretty generously sized.
Any suggestions on what those might be? Do you have the names/sizes?

As soon as I get a response, I'll start looking them up

If it weren't for my 15" Mac, I'd definitely be all over the Jypsiere...but it looks like even the largest size wont fit my laptop.

I just read this thread and want to get an Etsy shoulder strap for my J but have no idea of the exact name of the color (etain, gris meyer?). And I don't have the patience to look for my receipt. Can anyone identify it for me? The stitching is the same color as the bag. Picture with my wallet, that I also can't remember the color. I am the worst at these type of details. Any help very much appreciated.

You're the person that I have been looking for. I have been in love with the Jypsiere for years and for some odd reason, I never got it. I could have kicked myself when they stopped making the bag. Now looking at preloved bags and they are at a pretty good price. I was going back and forth on the size. 34 or 37. I love big bags and totes and when I saw the 37 being worn, they looked monstrous. Maybe it was due to women sporting the larger size. I know that they brought them back again. But I only have seen the mini. Now there's a 28 that someone just posted. Did they bring back the bag in all sizes and is this something I can request with my SA? I don't want to sound like an idiot asking for something they don't make in that size. LOL

Anyway, I am your height, 5'9 and would you suggest the 37 or the 34? I have a 40 Birkin that I love and the J is a 37. I am going back and forth with either the 34 or the 37. But based on our recommendation, I should get the 37, new if they have or for sure preloved. Thanks for your help.

34. I am like you...struggling to make a decision on sizes.

I used to want an Evelyne GM because I thought the Evelyne 29/PM was small (in pics)...until I saw it in person. Now I think that's the perfect size!

Good luck with your decision...best to see them in person because photos can be deceiving, especially on different sized folks!
