I used to want an Evelyne GM because I thought the Evelyne 29/PM was small (in pics)...until I saw it in person. Now I think that's the perfect size!

Good luck with your decision...best to see them in person because photos can be deceiving, especially on different sized folks!

Oh, so you haven't gotten one then? I think that I may just look for the 37, I have totes that are 38 cm in length, so it's not a stretch. Just that it would be 37 cm wide. I think I could handle that. And I think as long as you don't overstuff it, it'll be fine. I saw a pic on here that someone posted, he was wearing a Evelyn Sellier. It looked really nice but don't know the size. GM probably would be good. The TGM is 40 cm. And they are affordable, meaning a lot less than BKR. but still expensive. But I look at it this way, it's two LV or Gucci bags. LOL

Here's a pic of the Evelyne 33 Sellier. Measurements: 13"L x 12"H x 3"W It looks pretty cool actually. Not in Clemence, but a Vache Hunter. But it's very nice. I'd love to get one of those!

As you continue your research, you may want to give special consideration to that width dimension of the Jypsiere, especially in the larger sizes. @880’s DH looks terrific in the Evelyne Sellier, but it doesn’t extend out nearly as far from his body as will the larger Jypsieres. It’s an issue comparable to the one many women have with Birkin 35s. The problem is not so much the east/west dimension; as you say, the difference between a few cms can be negligible, but carrying something with that depth could be an issue for you, especially as a crossbody.

You're the person that I have been looking for. I have been in love with the Jypsiere for years and for some odd reason, I never got it. I could have kicked myself when they stopped making the bag. Now looking at preloved bags and they are at a pretty good price. I was going back and forth on the size. 34 or 37. I love big bags and totes and when I saw the 37 being worn, they looked monstrous. Maybe it was due to women sporting the larger size. I know that they brought them back again. But I only have seen the mini. Now there's a 28 that someone just posted. Did they bring back the bag in all sizes and is this something I can request with my SA? I don't want to sound like an idiot asking for something they don't make in that size. LOL

Anyway, I am your height, 5'9 and would you suggest the 37 or the 34? I have a 40 Birkin that I love and the J is a 37. I am going back and forth with either the 34 or the 37. But based on our recommendation, I should get the 37, new if they have or for sure preloved. Thanks for your help.

37! The 37 is not that big of a bag, mainly because of the shape and structure. It doesn’t hold as much as a birkin 35, for example…

This is one of the best tips that can be given.
It saved me from a sorry mistake with a much coveted peau de porc Bolide - such a shame!
Can you see how the top of a Jypsiere has little usable space?

Thank you so much! It's fine, I have a B 40. And that holds plenty. It's not for a laptop, just my stuff. And I love large bags anyway. I made up my mind and thank you again.

Thank you for the info and that is something to consider. I feel that whatever size bag I do end up getting, 34/37, I won't overstuff my bag so it sticks out so far. I have a B 40 and love it. I just love big bags and sometimes all that's in them is my wallet and keys in a large tote. LOL But regardless, not a small bag kinda guy. No minis for me. But I did see someone post a mini Lindy and he carried it well! So, I guess never say never. Thanks again!

Crazy story, I'll give everyone a condensed version of it. Talking with a friend and catching up, mentioned Hermés. She said she had two Birkins, one in Togo and one in pink matte alligator. Then she said a cousin of hers gave her a Jypsiere. And I said what, rewind, please. Yes, a 37 black Jypsiere. I almost dropped the phone! I am seeing her on Friday and she's bringing it for me to try on. I told her if she wakes up in her bed with a headache and a missing bag, don't call me. Can't wait! Have a great weekend everyone!
