I have noticed that many of the new designs that are available look like they only went through the printing process about half a dozen times. So few colors. Simple designs. Even the Les Artisans in blue on the US site has fewer colors than other colorways of that design. I like to get my money's worth and have colorways that have many colors. I find it more pleasing.

The vintage scarves I am totally fine doing low color counts. But not so much with new if I can help it.

H is trying to fix its mistake in the title ELEFTERIA which is on the web site and tags, not the silk

Wiki spells the word ELEUTHERIA in Roman letters, ELEFTHERIA is wrong and at least ELEYTHERIA is a lot less wrong

The silk has the word in Greek letters.The fourth letter on the silk , second row, left - looks like a Y on the silk, but Y is the capital letter for upsilon , it pronounces as a U not a F, the letter F does bot exist in Greek, there is PHI instead
ELEYTHERIA is a mix of Greek and Roman letters .. less wrong

the scarf is supposed to be a Greek tribute scarf , and they GOT IT WRONG … arrghhh

As a person of Greek descent who endured 12 years of afternoon Greek school (somewhat character building ) you are absolutely correct- however- this is easier for correct phonetic pronunciation (the Greek word uses the diphthong- and not the letter phi “φ”) I love this scarf and cannot wait to get my hands on one …or two …!

I spoke to my SA (NYC) who said Eleftheria will not be stocked in the US. He doesn't believe any US stores purchased it actually... something about large block text not selling well in the US in the past. A shame because it is absolutely gorgeous!

As far as I know ELEUTHERIA is the ancient greek pronunciation whereas ELEFTHERIA is the new greek pronunciation.

The word as written on the scarf is grammatically correct - in both ancient and modern Greek - a recent government had decided to simplify the Greek language and have made the use of the dipthong (ε + υ=Either a soft Ef or hard ev sound) optional - it’s not incorrect …it’s also NOW (as of 6-7 years now ) correct to also use ε+φ for a soft “ef” sound - confusing I know- but the artist - and H are not technically incorrect with the scarf’s spelling - at least on the silk …I don’t know why the government tried to change the language- there are a lot of rules- but the difference in the spellings reflect the use of nouns versus verbs etc …it’s not unlike why we use two letters for an “o” sound - Ω bring the omega - is for a longer o sound- whereas the «Ο» the omicron - us to be used for a short/ choppy “o” sound…grammar lesson done for today ! Mods sorry for being OT …I’m quietly very saddened that the US probably won’t get these beautiful silks …

Scarf mail! When this one was released in the 90 I started saving because I knew if they ever made it in a CSGM I'd have to have it, and after pondering for a few weeks between my top 3 choices for it, I am happy to make this Danse des Amazons CW 13 Rouge Vert Multipcolor mine. The colors are fabulous. I love the pinks and mint greens in this, combined with the blue and other brights and all the wonderful symbologies on the scarf. (Guest appearances by my own little lion- Finn. )

When this one was released in the 90 I started saving because I knew if they ever made it in a CSGM I'd have to have it, and after pondering for a few weeks between my top 3 choices for it, I am happy to make this Danse des Amazons CW 13 Rouge Vert Multipcolor mine. The colors are fabulous. I love the pinks and mint greens in this, combined with the blue and other brights and all the wonderful symbologies on the scarf. (Guest appearances by my own little lion- Finn. )

The red and pink Claire de lune was on h.com yesterday but I fear they will black list me for too many returns so I didn’t want to risk it. In the meantime this showed up on evilbay and I’ve asked my boutique to find it for me!

Hi! So on Eleftheria- my sa offered to do a worldwide search for it for me, confirming again that there are 0 in the US. @marietouchet - the Hermes Instagram currently has pret 70cm as its pic. Maybe it’s coming out? @bunnycat i love your CSGM and happy to be sisters! Yours is one I almost got - stunning. I too have some men’s scarf mail. DH already wants to borrow it which means I won’t see it again. Also shown a new Bastia in Jaune bourgeon.

Me too!! I have put it in my cart like three times! I think we have similar tastes snausages . But I talk myself out of it while I wait for other scarves to populate. It goes back to the above convo’s about production n trickling in of scarves actually hurting H sales. We pass by some scarves while we wait for the ‘ones’ we really want and then they are gone forever.

Agh. Me too. I love pinks and reds. And the stars! Who doesn’t love the stars. I really want to see if it is scarf magic on me like with Space derby. It wasn’t even not being on my radar, then I said why not (on H.com) and it is one of my most prized. Love it so much. Like 8 scarves in one.
