This is not a AW21/Covid specific issue. The staggered stock intake has been part of their strategy for a few years now (along with colour families etc).

I think it's silly (on their part) because I think I end-up buying less each season but, c'est logic d'Hermes

Apparently they don't realize that this "strategy" makes us buy less.

Agree the staggered introductions have been in the works for some years. I remember PARURES DE SAMURAIS - 2017 - the marquee design of that season that came out wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy later than the rest - 6 mos or so

Along with the staggered intros are the staggered outros. About 2010ish, scarves were in the stores/internet for NO MORE than 2 years, then they were whisked off the sales. Then the design was on hiatus for a while, arguably a limited production run.

But, if you look at the internet now, you will see some merch that far exceeds the 2 year limit, production no longer stops at 2 years.

Arguably, the later availability of variants eg wash is just another way to keep the design in production longer while maintaining the illusion of limited production runs

Another small beauty caught my eye when visiting our local store again after a long time: HERMES ELECTRIQUE in vert d‘eau / noisette! This gavroche had to come home with me! It had not been on my WL - but it was love at first sight!

Love both the twilly and the gav. I will need to add that twilly for sure. Hoping it will attract a grey bag to me congrats on both and you wear the gav very well!

So do you think that the lost Wild Singapore colorways will ever show up? I know you have no way to tell, but I constantly wondered about that one only coming out in 3 CWs, 4 if you add the Singapore SE.

Maybe ... that is a DEFINITE maybe ... But the one I want is the VS70 PRET A PORTER, it has to show up first, I have first dibs LOL

Honestly, every time I go the site, I find another cw of something - yesterday, more DELLA CAV double cws in like Finland LOL - spotty production , but that is the Hermes thing - we are artistes not manufacturing engineers

IMHO, the recent production stuff has been the simple designs in each category. I suspect they are trying to keep each production line open - 90cm, std twill, wash, double - but concentrating on the less complicated ones, SINGAPORE has too many colors to be simple - I doubt the full production staff is available yet - that is my manufacturing opinion and also based on French recent political events

Will keep an eye out for Pret for you, never saw it here in the States and lol @ not engineers! Let's hope they are able to ramp up production later this year

@Nomad I have been reaching out to my SA about this monthly and at last check there were NONE in the US available when she looked (at least in the cw I had asked for, cannot be 100% about others). Despite supposedly having been available I cannot find one anywhere!

This is so weird! Is it possible the US bought none? My SA said they haven’t populated in her system The three times since March I have checked in with her about them.

I actually saw on insta the gav and I asked her where She bought it and when. hopefully she will reply. I am dying to know what’s going on with this one. I gave my SA all the sku‘s from all the colors I had seen so far which was 4 I think.

Me too!! I have put it in my cart like three times! I think we have similar tastes snausages . But I talk myself out of it while I wait for other scarves to populate. It goes back to the above convo’s about production n trickling in of scarves actually hurting H sales. We pass by some scarves while we wait for the ‘ones’ we really want and then they are gone forever.

Agh. Me too. I love pinks and reds. And the stars! Who doesn’t love the stars. I really want to see if it is scarf magic on me like with Space derby. It wasn’t even not being on my radar, then I said why not (on H.com) and it is one of my most prized. Love it so much. Like 8 scarves in one.

I have noticed that many of the new designs that are available look like they only went through the printing process about half a dozen times. So few colors. Simple designs. Even the Les Artisans in blue on the US site has fewer colors than other colorways of that design. I like to get my money's worth and have colorways that have many colors. I find it more pleasing.
