I love this BdG - my SA is holding it for me. I will pick it up in a week and a half. (Along with a few others...)View attachment 4494217 View attachment 4494218 I really love this season for one reason: there are very few designs I really want to buy! Even better: not a single CSGM made it on my wish list despite all the beautiful modshots posted here so far. Last week, Patisserie française, cw20 and BdG cw02 made it home. I’m in 2 minds about Cosmographia. Cw01 and 02 are my 2 favourites. Top of my list is Index Palmarum, cw15, 9 or 2 (in that order) but it hasn’t made it to my usual H store yet.
I don’t “like” this but I totally understand...Both our store, and Canada’s website are way behind on the new issues, and like you, I’ve found that many colorways and models don’t seem likely to arrive at all. Our local store in Vancouver is not large (a much larger store is in the works across the street), but when I ask, I’m told Canadian customers are more “conservative”, to which I say: Come Off It....the fact is, many of the scarves that do come in are not conservative at all, but rather oddball colorways that don’t have universal appeal..my personal theory is that the more desirable colorways are saved for larger centres like Paris, New York, Moscow, Hong Kong, and we get what’s left...just my thoughts on this. Of course, we are free to order specific items but that is sight unseen and we are obligated to buy them once they arrive. At least that is what I’m told...thank heavens the Purse Forum allows me a view of the scarves in real life....Extremely frustrating! This season is so disconcerting at my local boutique. I’ve been told that some designs and CWs will never come in, period, because they have not been ordered. I’m thinking that perhaps It may be due to the fact that being a tropical climate here for the majority of the year, people rarely wear scarves. But, I was amazed that there was practically nothing from the new season in mid-July, which has never happened before. The only design they had in one of the CWs I wish to see is Index Palmarum in the black, but I wanted to see the marine/blanc and the ivory and the marine/blanc will not be ordered. None of Brides de Gala Shadow have arrived and I was told a very small selection would be coming in, anyway. I think they had one or two CWs of Mountain Zebra and none are what that I’m interested in seeing. The Jungle Love Rainbow is so good that I’m interested in a few, but two of my favs will not be coming in because they will not be ordered: CWs 3, 14 and 15. Of Cosmographia, they have one or two as well. And none of the main ones I want to see... Some will not be ordered at all, so they won’t be coming in, such as CW2. They haven’t even seen La Cite Cavaliere and don’t know whether it will be ordered. I’m always surprised every season by CWs and designs that I haven’t considered, but there are always things that I’m pretty sure I’d like to try and it’s pretty weird to be told that they won’t be coming in... period!
We have verrrrrrrrrrry similar lists. Good luck with everything!View attachment 4493583 Two scarves down so far this season (jungle love and mountain zebra both in green)... my list still feels so long!![]()
Can you get your SA to transfer in some pieces for you to see?My H store has only one design in one CW on my list. Many I wish to see will not even be coming in because they’ve not been ordered. So, This is why I haven’t even stopped by. And, Ive been avoiding h.com because they’ve so royally messed up for me recently. So, here we are, admiring everyone's silks tremendously but frustrated waiting for I don’t know what to materialize I don’t know when. Whatever... Meanwhile, I am greatly enjoying everyone’s gorgeous finds

Thanks Fifi, I so hope you get an opportunity to see this design irl.Best of luck with everything! Hoping all will be well with your daughter and that she will be on the way to perfect health very soon. This is such a beautiful choice! One of my favorite CWs of this magnificent design
Oh so beautiful!
This design is magnificent and so sophisticated and elegant in this CW!
Positively stunning! What a perfect pop of color!
OMG, I need to read this whole thread!
I have not collected any scarves for a long time. I had my first baby in March. She was born 3 months early, we stayed at the hospital for weeks and soon she will have heart surgeryMy local Hermes store have been so kind, sending us cards and flowers. So yesterday I finally went back for a scarf! After months with no unnecessary shopping
I chose this beautiful Jungle Love

Hear, hear!I agree with all your points, and can add some further comments. Apparently Canadians don't buy "brown" colourways according to my SA (so I suppose no chocolate patisserie for us!) - so these cw's are rarely/never ordered. Yes, my SA can do a worldwide search to bring it in but you need to pay full amount up front & since it usually takes 1 month+ to arrive if it's not suitable you just get a store credit, not a full refund. I am particularly dismayed for AW 2019 as apparently Canada did not order the cw's I want of Regard de l'Arctique, Dans Le Jardin de Leila CSGM, and the Kachinas carre washed! Thank goodness people post these cw IRL on tpf so I can see what they look like before I take the plunge to special order.
Can your SA transfer the CWS you like in from other stores? My store rarely receives my favourite scarf CWs so they just get them in for mehopefully your SA can do the same
That is crazy! I’m so sorry that your store is so hit and miss. Will they transfer scarves you want from another store to you? I know that takes more waiting time for you, but if they dont order much in the first place, they should at least accommodate you in that way.

To answer everyone, yes, I can have scarves I’d like to see transferred but I feel there’s an unspoken pressure to purchase them. They’ve never come right out and told me so, but I just feel it. I’ve requested transfers in the past when I’m ABSOLUTELY SURE that I’m going to buy the scarf. But I don’t think that requesting a bunch of transfers just to look at them while I try to decide is proper etiquette. That’s the problem right there. So, yeah, at the end when I’ve seen all the possible CWs of a particular design and I’ve made a firm decision, I may request a transfer of a particular scarf that I absolutely know I want... @katriona Im totally with you on your observations for I’ve been thinking the same... Meanwhile, this sucks... Thanks so much, everyone! Can you get your SA to transfer in some pieces for you to see?
I’d like to see it as well. I’m a huge 90cm fan but more recently have been wearing my silk 140cms more. They can be slippery but I’ve found the rectangular fold to work very well (and I’m lazy, it’s easy to fold back in my drawer).hi everyone,
does anyone have modeling pics of Carnaval des Oiseaux in rose/pink colorway?i am yet to have experience with 140cm scarves and only have 90cm. Is large size easier to handle?
