The story behind
Based on the Jungle Love Rainbow scarf design.
One of Robert Dallet’s most famous drawings, Jungle Love, is reinvented here with a colorful treatment that alters our perception of it. The design is over-printed with multicolored stripes, like a filter superimposed on this tender scene. Two powerful, sleek leopards approach and observe one another, playing out their courtship ritual under the permanently astonished, round-eyed gaze of a bushbaby nestled among the leaves. Surrounded by orchids, butterflies and birds, paradise flycatchers, bee-eaters, sunbirds and lovebirds, the scene is full of emotion.

The story behind
Based on the Mors à Jouets chemise Détail scarf design.
Henri d’Origny’s design Mors à jouets is one of the house’s great equestrian classics. Placed in the horse’s mouth and connected to the reins, the bit allows the rider to steer his mount. They are called à jouets (“mouthing bits”) when they are dotted with small beads of metal that encourage salivation and help the animal to relax its mouth. A detail of this composition has been enlarged to become the subject of the scarf itself. Set against a background of fine stripes reminiscent of the cotton weaves used to make men’s shirts, it becomes the Mors à jouets chemise.

The Story Behind
The stable, an intimate world of horses, inspired Hugo Grygkar, author of many drawings for Hermès, a square of charming simplicity. Aligned in their stalls, protected by blankets, mounts exchange, observe, enjoy hay, enjoy a moment of rest and relaxation. The man suddenly seems excluded from their world, but soon he will saddle them, flatter their neck, and training will resume. This drawing describes with great tenderness an episode of equestrian life, a peaceful parenthesis. The stroke is both sharp and precise, life is there, in each of its models. Today surrounded by horseshoe motifs, chevrons and stars, this equestrian family portrait becomes a pretty bandana.

I adore this design but thought it was originally by LeDoux.

Ooooh - thanks for asking. There’s a geometric in the scarf booklet called Reverie Solitaire that I will probably buy in multiple. Other than that I am just enjoying the pursuit of colour. If Mountain Zebra comes in a psychedelic colour way then I will definitely buy it! Snark aside, I really do love Alice Shirley and Hermes have honoured her in past seasons by producing some really exceptional colour ways of her designs, so here’s hoping!
It's an intriguing and I believe realistic hope for a psychedelic Mtn Zebra. B/c the cws on H.com, at least a couple of them, could be psychedelic with a little tweaking. I think this b/c 20 years ago, H was fond of mushroom scarves w/realistic, earthy colors. However, eventually mushrooms came in a black cw with neon mushrooms, very pretty, with vivid imaginary colors for 'rooms, like pink. I bet the mushroom scarf was just screaming to be psychedelic.
