That's really frustrating. It's really a gamble as to which employee you get to and how and whether this service is implemented. That doesn't do justice to a luxury brand. The same goes for begging for permission to buy a luggage tag despite having bought a Keepall.
I also lost interest in it for a while.

The very kind CA I was working with, did tell me the boutique inside the Hilton might be more lenient and stamp it for me, as he heard of people having luck but I unfortunately did not have enough time to go there and try my luck.

I'm kicking myself in the butt and wishing I didn't forget to bring my passport cover with me when I was in Hawaii back in 2022 😑

Hopefully hot stamps are not only exclusive to luggage tags in the future or more stores are willing to bend the rules (if it really has become one).

Also, I need to try and make it a point to go to my local downtown Chicago location and see if they will stamp for me.

That is absurd. I have asked to put on my wallet in Nashville (they even offered) and my speedy handle base in Singapore.

I agree - especially considering, when I was in NYC this past December, I was able to get a stamp on my passport.

Even the store I frequent in the suburbs of Chicago recently did my initials and "triple" stamped it to saturate the color better for me.

I feel like the "rule" of luggage tags only is going to vary from store to store 🤷‍♂️

I'm so sorry that happened to you. One thing I did was I had my local store make my appt for me overseas and specified I wanted to get an item heatstamped. Ginza tried to get out if it until the mgr that received the email made her. The item that was stamped was my pm agenda.

So happy they were able to do it for you! Super off putting they tried to get out of it though.

After I saw that Saks doesn't open until 11am, I thought I wouldn't have enough time. We had booked a tour of the One World Trade Center at 12pm and we have to go to the airport tomorrow afternoon. We were at Brookfield Place, where we could have gotten a taxi stamp but you couldn't get it for another 24 hours. Then after our tour we went to Soho. There was LV Lovers. We were supposed to get it tomorrow but because of the situation they did it within an hour. Great. After the very sad visit to the memorial museum, a break with a drink did us good and we waited in a cafe around the corner. Then we got into the next taxi and went to Saks, we got there just before 6pm, they close at 7pm. I was lucky there too, they stamped it for me today so I could get it just before 7pm. A good haul: 3 luggage tags stamped. Now I don't have any more.

Excited to have come across this thread. I would like to purchase a passport holder during my summer travels. I will be in Madrid, Seville, Marbella and Geneva. Which stores have the stamps so I can get different places stamped ?

Marbella had one, a fan with Spain written on it but I was told they couldn't find it after the extension/renovation of the boutique. Geneva has one. Madrid should have one. I don't think their is a LV store in Sevilla. I just saw a story on empho.lv2 instagram that he heard that LV is now prohibiting to get those stamps in passport holder. Should nevertheless be possible if you buy something in store.

Saw the insta story by Emphosix as well and was bummed, I usually buy something anyway but just sucks they are implementing this especially if you already have an LV item. Just LV making us give them more of our money 😂
