I never got one... but if choosing between silver and gold, I 100% prefer gold. It's more classic Chanel:love: and just pops... but it also depends on your jewelry collection. I have the Cartier Love bracelet and ring in yellow gold that I wear daily and all my other jewelry is gold. The only thing I wear that's not gold are my diamond studs and ring, which are set in platinum.

I prefer gold since it matches with almost all of my outfits and my skin tone. I’m 29 but people say I look way younger. Gold may seem too overpowering for me as it is more mature looking and might steal all the attention from me hehe. However, it does match with my clothes and rings.

As for the silver one, I do like how it is in brand new unused condition. Since silver on black is like black and white, it should match with everything yea? It is also from 2014 so is relatively newer. I dress pretty formal and lady-like, hehehe. I wonder if silver will look a bit off on me.

If you are in my situation, what would you do? Thanks

Wow, now I’m jealous :smile: I love GHW and would love to get one in the classic black caviar. I saw a preloved for sale on Instagram but the fact that it’s preloved turns me off. I can only hope that some day they will bring this bag back!

I don’t think this bag will come back. My SA told me it was one of their best sellers. She told me she heard corporate decided to discontinue the bag because it was priced too low.

I believe her. Have you noticed how the new shopping totes are now $4-5K? You never see shopping totes at GST prices (last price was $2,900).

I have many and still use all of them. I’ve looked at the new totes, but something is off for me with each new style. I really love the GST too.

I agree, the pre loved I saw was priced at ~USD3500. The prices definitely don’t tempt me. But yes, if Chanel did bring this back it won’t be cheap, however it would make me happier to buy new.

I have a beige GST with GHW, inside the bag ive been so unlucky to have gotten red marks from a marker pen/sharpie, what can i do or use to try to remove it? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi! Leave it alone. You will only smear it and then end up with a pink patch. The only way to get rid of it is to replace the lining. There are services that do that such as Leather Surgeons and Santana Leather.

Unless the red spot is huge, I would leave it alone.

I always have my GST stuffed and hanging instead of standing or tucked away on the side, a leather surgeon told me that was the best way to store a bag from sagging, works fine for me btw :)

Hi all
So I took the plunge and got my first pre-owned/loved item. A Beige Clair GST with GHW. However the seller did not disclose (they weren’t aware) that one of the rings is missing a screw. They’ve told me Chanel would be able to repair it. Do you think they will do it for a bag that hasn’t been around since 2015?

Also the gold coating has rubbed off in some parts of the grommets and zipper pull, is that something that can be fixed either by Chanel or a bag spa type place?
