I purchased one from Fashionphile last year and it didn't have the stamping. I freaked out. I thought it was fake. Come to find out the stamping didn't occur until later on. I still exchanged it for a newer model with the stamping.
Is there a thread to post about the PST? With 10k posts here I can't read them all, sorry!
I have a question, and mods, please delete and/or move if this is inappropriate. I don't know where to post.
Not being anywhere near a Chanel boutique, and living where I do, I rarely see ant Chanel in my town. I also wasn't a handbag lover until about 5 years ago-it suddenly clicked.
Chanels are so beautiful... for my first and maybe only, I decided to buy a shopper as it's practical, and being super tiny (97 lbs at 5'3") I wanted petite. Boy and flap are next if it works out!
I also have end stage cancer, which i am sorry to say, is only relevant for one reason (although having Chanel is a bucket list dream), but as you might imagine, I have a lot of medical bills and new insurance is worse- so I bought used and likely will continue to.
So I found d a well-known, reputable seller online. Never having touched one, the red flags in the photo didn't ring bells with me. But now that it's arrived, I see problems, not all described well. It was clearly folded and put away in somebody's closet. The sides, corners, and most unfortunately, the area right above the pocket are seriously creased.
I can see why this would happen as the lining seems to be smaller than the leather, if that makes sense. And I see many photos where the corners have crumpled in, so that is now expected. (Mine is 2005 issue). But it was also stored improperly.
It's caviar leather. I've read to iron it or use a blow dryer to rub out creases or stuff it and leave it for a few days.
I can tell by looking at if #3 won't work. I don't have an iron but do have a steamer and blow dryer. That scares me terribly though. Has anybody tried that?
Aside from the folds, it's in good shape except the key strap is gone which is the only problem.
I'm hoping somebody has a miracle fix? Kind of disappointing to save up and dream about such a bag and not love It instantly.(I love the style, not the creases)
Attached are photos. I hope you can see the creases above the pocket in the light. They are quite indented. And the corners are super crumpled but the bag is stuffed in the photos.
Am looking for some suggestions or assurances! If I should take it back I can get store credit, but they only have one 600.00 more than I paid which seems no better and the inside is filthy....

Did you notice that the CC looked different to on the one with the stamping? I think the one without the stamping is almost the more patch like.

I love beige and silver combo, more so than gold.

I also prefer silver hw - but I also have a few bags with gold hw, though... and beige with shw is a hard to beat combo
