Hi All,

I purchased a GST from the Chanel Boutique in Selfridges Manchester a few days ago. When I got home I found that there was only one booklet with the cleaning cloth in the box, and not the booklet that records the date etc of where and when you purchased the bag? Is this normal?

I've never purchased any Chanel with places you write dates

Yes they did and replaced with a similar tote pictured a few pages back

Hi bunnyr, The classic flaps come with a booklet that has the history and how the classic flaps are made. They also have a card that has the stamp of the store, your name, serial number and date of purchase.

That's normal Gst's only come with the care and maintenance with cleaning cloth booklet.

So I just received my gorgeous red GST from Fashionphile, I noticed it doesn't have the " 31 rue cambon" and "chanel" engraved on the ring for the straps like I've seen on most, it has plain rings like the classic flap has. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Hi st.love, it's my understanding that Chanel changed the grommets in 2010 to the 31 rue Cambon and the cc stitching.

Yes i think the newer gommets have the print and are flatter.

My SA called me last night and found me a black caviar gst with silver hardware brand new with the plastic covering on it
Can't wait to get it! Was my lucky day since I've been on the hunt since last spring when I found they were discontinued.
