It's too heavy and structured to use as a baby bag imo. And the middle dividing gets in the way. I prefer totes as baby bags

Thanks for your advise. I purchased this bag about a month ago and it has been sitting in my closet ever since. I'm debating whether I should return it since it was never used. I just don't think it fits my lifestyle at the moment. Not sure what to do [emoji53]

I really "needed" a red bag to add to my collection, kept debating between a GST and Gucci Soho chain tote.. well..

Just purchased this GST from fashionphile :happydance:

You should use the funds to buy something you will like/use/enjoy! :)

What's the difference between a GST and a Timeless Soft Tote?

As you can see by this photo, the GST is more square, stiffer at first (but it does soften up with use) and the handles are shorter, so kind of tucks under your arm. The Timeless Soft Tote is softer from the get go, handles come down lower so not right under your underarm but a tad lower like a jumbo would, and this particular one is a size large so it has an almost triangular shape without the top of the triangle. Hope that helps!

the GST is much more boxy and has rings, the timless is less structured and has Tbars (i think its tbars....?). I think the sides are also lower on the timless, so from the front it looks like a box but from the side u can see its not. Im not sure i described that well haha

Thank you for your reply! And I got what you were trying to convey minus the t-bars. ^_^

The photo helped tremendously, thank you! My sis & I I purchased a black caviar TST for my mom's upcoming birthday (it hasn't arrived yet). This will be her first Chanel and she wanted a tote but never specified a style. Looking at them side-by-side I'm relieved that I chose the TST over the GST because it's more her style and she'll like the longer handles.

Not sure what size you ordered for your mom. Some are boxy, they look smaller than this large though. You will find out once it arrives! Hope your mom loves it-very sweet of you kids! 💕

Since my post dated September 27, I have been to Harrods in London and purchased my GST (black caviar, silver hardware).

I can confirm that Harrods have the GST as a permanent part of their collection in both black and beige with either silver or gold HW. They do have other colours as well, (the lady next to me purchased it in navy) but stock is not guaranteed, you need to check with them in advance.
I paid £2000 and got £260 back in VAT, since I live outside the European Union.

Hi All,

I purchased a GST from the Chanel Boutique in Selfridges Manchester a few days ago. When I got home I found that there was only one booklet with the cleaning cloth in the box, and not the booklet that records the date etc of where and when you purchased the bag? Is this normal?

That's normal Gst's only come with the care and maintenance with cleaning cloth booklet.
Congratulations on your gst:smile1:
