Hi hope to allay some concerns here ;I just bought a garden party 30 in negonia today from my local Hermes boutique .
I notice the 4 corners of the bag seems to look worn ( not as grainy ) and looks crumpled horizontally . Is this normal for a brand new bag from boutique ? Didn’t notice this in store in my excitement 😂 pics below for reference

Thanks in advance for any input

They have to stretch the bag to reinforce. It's just the nature of leather.

Hello everyone,
I recently acquired a pre-loved GP 36 in Negonda leather. It feels very lightweight and the condition of the leather looks acceptable, but I am concerned about how "smooshy" it is. I was expecting a bag that would stay upright when placed on the floor and this one seems to fall over from its own weight when empty. Is this normal for those who have had full leather GPs for a long time?
Thank you for any feedback!

Hi..the GP 36 does not hold its structure/shape well. I have both GP 36 & 30, the 36 got “smooshy” after using it for a short time. Recently, I’ve been using my GP 30 for a few months, it has held it’s shape very well..no sagging at all. An organizer will help a bit to keep the 36 more rigid, but will add weight to the bag. I always thought the 30 would be too small, but now find I prefer it. I wish H offered the GP in a size between the 30 & 36.

Thank you @Tiverton for confirming that this "smooshiness" is normal.
I tried a GP30 but I couldn't fit a laptop in it so I passed. However, I did as you suggested and put my K35's insert in there and it does seem much better - great idea! Since the GP is so light compared to my other totes the weight of the insert does not seem bad at all.
I totally agree that it would be perfect if they made a size in between (with the removable strap)!

It looks like it's been squashed or folded whilst stored. However, Negonda is more relaxed.

Vache Country and Epsom are structured, even VC GP 36 (which is what I have).

No right or wrong , it's what suits you.

Does anyone know the current price in USD of the GP in 30 in canvas if you go through the H store? I have been eyeing this beautiful bag in the gold leather with the canvas. It's stunning!

Question about Garden Party bags.. it seems like some of them are lined on the inside and some are not. It also seems like some have an inner pocket and yet others do not. Is there a way to tell if the bag will be lined or not (e.g. are all leather bags lined?)? Similarly, is there a way to tell if the bag will have an inner pocket or not (e.g. do all canvas bags have an inner pocket)?

The leather GPs - both 30 and 36 - are lined and have interior pockets. The canvas GPs have neither a lining nor a pocket. This is how my GPs are anyway but I haven't seen any new ones lately so it could be possible that it has changed. I don't think it is possible to make an interior pocket if there is no lining.
