I've seen GP 36 online although not often but they do come though you have to be fast because it easily goes.. I think Bleu Agate is a lovely color as well. Congratulations on your purchase, did you get it authenticated?

I am looking at buying a Garden Party in a neutral color for everyday use. Would 30 or 36 be better? I am 5’ 7” and slim. Is it really hard to find 30? And does 36 get really heavy? Thanks.

I have had my 30 for about 7 years, and it’s a perfect size, but one of my least used bags bc I never know what to do with it when I’m out. There are no feet on bottom, so I don’t want to place it on floor, and I can’t put it on my shoulder when I’m shopping, so take that into consideration. Would be nice if it came with a detachable crossbody strap. I did use it to go to the doctor yesterday to brighten up my day. It fits a lot and isn’t heavy. I’ve seen them on H.com from time to time, but I imagine your SA should be able to reserve you one. Mine is black, and I’ve been very happy with that color choice.

I agree About the lack of carry options- but, I’m glad the handles are long enough for forearm carry. I reeeeallllly can’t carry a bag with only tiny hand carry handles. Long ago, the GP30 bags had clips tucked under the handles for optional shoulder strap carry. I wish they kept that option. I’m thinking about an SO with that option- isn’t that why H is pumping out so many lovely strap choices?

That is exactly why I'm not sure if I should keep my GP36. I really like the look of it, but everytime I need a bag which fits a lot I go for a tote bag which I can carry over my shoulder. So it doesn't get much use at all.

So stoked to have this beauty. Can’t wait to use her when I travel for work next month.

My first Hermès bag. I couldn’t be any more happier. Now I know what the fuss is about with the leather quality Hermès has.

I have GP 36 and I have had it for years (in fact, just posted a picture of it on “H riding in passenger seat”). To me it is a very versatile bag - it does not get heavy at all. It is lined in canvass and does not have much hardware. I believe that contributes to it being so light. Mine is in Rouge Pivione (red Peony). It is a great fun tote to carry in warm weather, holds a ton and I can put it on a crook of my arm or even on my shoulder. I am slim 5’7”. Hope this helps.

Yes I did  and Im happy to report its legit! LOL! I still wish its a size 30 though. Im petite and dont carry much with me anymore. Its getting a bit of a slouch on the bottom so I may have to buy an insert or shaper to hold it up… sounds like my purse needs a bra. LOL!

Hey everyone, I would like to ask for some advice. I just purchased a GP 36 in full-leather in the colour Blue Zanzibar in a London boutique. I was there literally one hour before closing time and so imagine my surprise that this was left in stock. For reference, I am 5"2 and UK size 4. In the store when I tried it on it didn't look too big on me as I can use this as a shoulder bag but when I got home and looked in front of the mirror, somehow the bag seemed to have grown twice as large and it looks like my whole body can fit inside it. Strangely enough, when I put it side by side with all my LV neverfulls, actually the GP 36 isn't that big.

Shall I keep it? I know how difficult to get my hands on one, there's a saying going around now that the full-leather GP is rarer than a Birkin. Does anyone have a bag in this colour? Would it be so difficult to dress with such colour? Most importantly, how does the negonda leather fare in terms of sagging over time if looked after correctly? I've seen some photos of second-hand GPs that looks like it's literally melting into the floor.

I bought a GP36 Bleu du Nord country leather at the airport back in 2019 but not once used it due to pandemic as was working from home & have sold it early this year. I am 5'5" & also felt it looks huge on me. However, the size wasn't my main reason for selling but the weight of a full leather bag. If it were a GP30, I might have kept it. But then I have already bought a GP30 in Jaune Ambre in country leather in 2020.

Bleu Zanzibar is a lovely colour but I feel it looks better on smaller bags. Negonda is softer & has finer grains than Country leather but tends to sag more over time unless you use a bag organizer (which adds further weight) or store it stuffed with paper or the plastic bubble which comes with the bag purchase from the boutique.

TBH, GP36 isn't difficult to come by. If you are having second thoughts & the purchase is less than 30 days, you can return the bag & the boutique will give you store credit valid for 1 year or you can exchange for other bags or other items available. HTH.

Hi! Congratulations on your new bag! I am the same height and a size 4 US. I have the 36 in Blue Agate (i think mine is a little more of a muted blue) and I don't think it is too big. But you have to consider what you use it for. I mainly use mine for travel and when I need to carry a bunch of stuff. There were times when I used it eventhough I didnt carry much because the color went well with the outfit. LOL! And with jeans or shorts, the 36 looks great. I have the 30 but I usually use it with dresses for some reason.

As for the slouchiness, I have the Vache Country leather so I am not sure how fast the Negonda leather will sag or if it will ever sag. I don't see sagging on mine yet but I do expect it to happen over time if I always carry heavy items like my laptop in it. I try to only carry light items or not over fill it. Perhaps consider an insert or an acrylic liner for the base of the bag?
