My first H purchase!! So thrilled with it. I plan to use her everyday for work (I actually don’t carry much other than a laptop, so is not too bad).
GP 36cm etoupe (Negonda leather I think?).
Also, second & third photo shows my 14” Lenovo laptop fitting perfectly in the bag!! Hope this helps anyone who is thinking about a GP for work! Don’t mind the Kit Kats

Hello fellow GP lovers, I had a gp 36 in leather and absolutely loved it but gave it to a dear cousin of mine because it was just too heavy to carry when I loaded it up with laptop and other work items. I loved the functionality of the bag and miss it dearly and so I’m pondering the canvas version. For those of you with canvas do any of you use it as an every day work bag and how has it held up? I had one bad experience with a canvas bag from mansur Gavriel. It attracted lint like crazy so I’m a bit hesitant to buy another canvas bag. But hermes has a black on black one that I’ve been eyeing and would like to see if my sa can get it. TYA!
I’ve used a canvas GP for an everyday tote to carry my lunch, etc. it held up very well. The only thing I have against the canvas is it does attract dog hair. I use a lint roller and it helps.

Have you seen it in the new toile militaire? Doesn't look like that would attract anything. I love the look of it and the fact that it is the same color inside out. Looks like it can take some rough treatment too, considering one myself...
Not at all!! I love the etoupe color, I was lucky enough to try out etoupe and gold, along with a few other seasonal colors, in person and the etoupe really stood out to me. It somehow makes the tote more elevated looking, if that makes sense.
My Lenovo is pretty light, 2.6lbs (I think a 13” MacBook Pro is around 3lbs). And the only other items I carry is a 6 ring LV key cles, small Gucci marmont card holder, and the makeup pouch you see in the picture with small essentials.
So overall, I don’t carry much (intentionally). I’m lucky I can leave my charger at work so I don’t have to lug that around daily.
If I add a full water bottle though, I start noticing the weight but it’s manageable. And I have around a 15 minute walk to work everyday.
No, they now have the Garden Party in toile militaire. I have seen it in all black (looks so sharp) and in blue electrique, don’t know whether there are other colors.

Ahh! This is the bag I have been looking at - the black one. Isn’t it so chic? I think this would make a great work bag. Thank you for clarifying. I’m not familiar with the toile militaire. Is it tougher than the normal canvas used for this bag?
Hermes canvas is tougher than people think, but my understanding is that the toile militaire is coated canvas, so it should be easier to wipe off for stains and I am assuming it would attract less fluff. But I am not sure as don’t own anything in it. Really tempted by the black one. Would be the perfect throw around and abuse tote, plus I never liked the fabric lining in the GP...
Ah I didn’t even notice it does not have the fabric lining which is even a bigger bonus! I saw that the lining I had in a bag started to pull and sag over time. I will have to see if my local boutique has it or can get it. However I’m on a bit of a ban until next month with a recent dream bag purchase from H lol. Thank you again for pointing out this lovely bag.
