UPDATE!!! Y'all... YALL! This bag turned out to be fake. It's a great replica, but some tiny things were off and turns out... it's fake. I was gutted. I've contacted the seller and I'll keep you posted! I've collected designer bags for 20 years and this still happened. Stay tuned!
UPDATE!!! Ok, so here's the scoop. I saw it in the boutique in Gold and died. Couldn't find it anywhere in black of course so I found one on eBay. As you can in the pics and in my reveal post... it looks outstanding. The seller had great feedback and lots of record of designer selling and buying. Nothing looked fishy. (I even checked her out on Google... she's a lovely regular person with a realty business and seemed perfectly perfect.)
Fast forward, I have the bag for 2 days... I show it to my FAVORITE reseller @timelessVOgue who deals ONLY in authentic gorgeous items. I knew she had one personally and wanted to share my joy. She broke the bad news to me that it was a fake. There were so many details that were off... from the font on the leather CHANEL tab to the serial number font and black bar markings being off. I wanted to DIIIIIE! The biggest give-away was that she said that the Gabrielle didn't start until series 23xxxxxx serial number and this bag had a 22xxxxxxx serial number.
I contacted the seller immediately with pics of the discrepancies and she was floored. Story is- he had a "friend" buy it for her in London and paid her friend $$$ for it. She was devastated that it was fake. She refunded my $$ immediately without any additional questions. I sent her back the bag and it's on it's way to her.
Goes to show, even a discerning luxury eye can be fooled. Y'all, these fakes are getting GOOD! UGH! Thanks for letting me share my drama. I was scared to share because of the shame, but ya know what... I didn't do anything wrong. And I learned a great lesson. So many people saw the pics of my bag in several posts and no one noticed anything off... even in my hands, it was perfect. Safe shopping y'all! xoxoxo #LVorDie
I think buying a Gabrielle with no card at such a steal price would have thrown me off. Every place is selling the Gabrielle over retail because they are hard to come by. The black in particular is extremely hard to find, and being such a new piece hard to see how someone could have lost the card so quickly. So, glad it worked out, but the signs were there.
Assuming you guys have all seen this now? A few stores have it...

Anyone have any experience with the backpack? is the drawstring style hard to get into and out of? I'm thinking this would need two hands to get stuff from and feel like that would be the biggest pain!!
