Silver & Pewter are the same color, right? Nobody will notice.

I think this is an authentic 05 holiday pewter. While the handles on some moto bags darken with use, the metallics lighten or fade to silver. You can see the original pewter color at the base of the handle.

See this post about the navy metallic.

Yeah, an unusual feature of this leather is that "wear" means the navy color fades to white, though a still metallic white. Instead of the handles darkening, they lighten.

See this post about the navy metallic.
I assumed it was authentic, just noting that the listing also mentioned that the handles had been repainted. IMO it looks like a bad paint job. If you zoom in on the shots with the lacing, it looks like there is paint left over on them. Either way, the difference is striking.

Gotcha. The frankensteins are oddball fakes. Didn't realize you were not objecting to authenticity. The color match is bad, but accidentally not so far off the mark of what some worn metallics handles end up looking like. But yes, they should have picked the right color when they had the world of options available to them.

For the low low price of $3,000, you could own this 1/1 custom (spray?) painted Twiggy City...

OH. MY. GAWD.
Suddenly the tie dye lady's prices seem a tad more palatable...

I actually don't hate what they've done with this art, it's whimsical, BUT, not for that price.

Personal alterations don't add value, aside for one's own enjoyment.
Definitely agree.

If the original owner did it/commissioned it and loved it, more power to them!

... but reselling something so personalized for so much gives me pause. :oh:
