So someone took a Giant Covered Hardware Brogues Brief, scribbled all over it, sent it to The Real Real, who decided it was a "Neo Cagole City Graffiti" and are charging $1095.

I got a bit salty and sent them an email that they were essentially charging $1100 for someone's project, and that it was not a City, a Neo Cagole or Graffiti bag. Got this in reply:
"If you could provide us with specific details of why there is a doubt about this item along with photos, I will pass the information to our Authentication Department so we may better address your concerns."
So I had to write out a little presentation in which we went over City vs Brief, Giant Covered Hardware and Broguing, and the introduction of the Graffiti line, before concluding that it would be statistically impossible for the brand to have a style and hardware that was long since discontinued on a Graffiti bag.
And finally reiterating that I was not commenting on authenticity but the fact that this was someone's project, and that bags that have been dyed/altered depreciate significantly, and that while this could be called "custom painted" it most definitely is not a Graffiti bag.
