Dear P-Pup! I just could not keep this uncommented.. so please allow me to, as we say here, "add my mustard (to the plate)..."
Both match your tweed jacket perfectly. This CW of "Boucles" looks like it was made for this jacket! But, IMO, "Paperoles" is a more sophisticated match. I also find it more elegant, it raises the whole ensemble to another level.

Thank you so much Pegase. You have exquisite taste so I welcome your input. I am returning both boucles in favor of my paperoles, which also has more sentimental value to me. Many thanks.

What a dilemma PbP! Here's my two cents...
I love the long, lean effect of the boucles shawl with your dress, but you could get the same "feel" from any number of your shawls. The dress gorgeous and you look smashing in it, btw.! [emoji106][emoji173]️

As for the Chanel, I feel like the boucles colors in either format were basically made for the jacket! I love that it picks up the grey in the tweed, as well as a number of other colors so brilliantly hidden in there! [emoji41]

I also feel that this design helps to "dress down" the jacket, making it very useful it you want to wear it casually with jeans. IMHO, the paperoles works perfectly to "dress up" the jacket, while the over sized print of the boucles helps to "dress it down".

However with that said, I'm not a fan of the "uniform", where "this scarf goes with that jacket" and so on. I think we are in the same boat with plenty of choices and that drives us to be more thoughtful in our selections. Therefore I *have* to be able to pair it with many things already in my closet -and- it has to fill a "hole".

I've been painfully lusting after this particular jacket and if I'm honest...I am positively green with envy seeing all the lovely ladies who got to take this one home! [emoji7][emoji30] [emoji22]

If I did have this hanging in my closet, I personally would go for the boucles (either format). I love the juxtaposition of the boucles' crisp, modern (even mod vibe) pattern and coloring against the classic, "ladylike" cut of the Chanel.

Woooh, sorry for the novel! And you said you will be returning it, so my thoughts on the matter may not be useful, lol! [emoji15][emoji5]

Yes it's so hard to find at a reasonable price. The hunt is part of the fun. I found a vintage silk in midnight blue some time ago but you can't hardly see the motif. I keep it as my memento mori aka carpe diem symbol scarf.

I can see I am too late to chime in here pbp, but just to confuse things I will say that I am so overly thrilled with my Boucles 90cm in this CW, and it really looks great with both of your options. The Paperoles with your jacket is more classic and the Boucles with the jacket adds a 60's vibe. I really love both, but I totally understand if you are not in love with the scarf or shawl. You have so many beautiful pieces, including ones that look wonderful with your dress and jacket, that it is often best to wait.

About the CLF, I actually bought on H.com because my SA from "our" store never called me about it. I know they had one because I saw it in the display case a couple weeks ago but she was out so I wanted to wait for her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt to see if she would call as promised but....NOTHING. So I just bought it online. I know this is an inexpensive piece in H world but I must say I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get a call. I worked in high end jewelry retail when I was an undergrad and we were always told that EVERY customer is important because one never knows when they will decide to make the big purchase. H truly does operate in their own confusing [albeit beautiful] world haha.

Thanks dear Bova. Sorry to hear you go through the same bs with our store. I don't hold a grudge about it but I won't hold out to buy what I want from other places anymore either.
