chkpfbeliever, this is an issue with me as far as buying CSGM shawls and mine are prone to snagging and little pulls in the fabric.
Just to note: am super careful when wearing them and I love their look but I would like them to be near perfect even after a few times of wearing them. At $1K per item, I do expect some durability.

On the other hand, the 140cm silks seem to last forever and always look perfect. After many years, I am tempted next season to just stick with the 140cm silks and skip CSGMs altogether.

I adore the 140 silks. They are my favorite format. They are so luxurious. I wish they would concentrate more effort on coming up with designs in the 140s. Sometimes they seem like a bit if an after thought.

I'm not a fan of the mashups. I don't know why - I really want to like them. Maybe I find them hard to wear?

Some are definitely easier to wear than others. Keep trying. It also depends how you like to wear them. I like long bias folds and some lend themselves better than others to tying that way. I also do better with designs that aren't too high contrast.

klynneann, love the mash-ups, find them so interesting and modern. I could probably buy all of the CWs of the F/W 16 Le Mors ~ there hasn't been one that I dislike. Trying to control myself and indulge in only two CWs.

I do like Le Mors - I probably would have liked that blue cw, if I didn't have the Cavalleria in the similar cw. I will look at ones that aren't high contrast - maybe that will help. I will keep trying! Thank you both.

Finally getting around to sharing photos of Kachinas cw36. Photos aren't the best. Indoor lighting was bad but the outdoor one gives a good representation of the true colors.

I am sooooooo thrilled to be twins with you on this one!!! I popped in today and the boutique had just put out the only one they received of this.....mine!!!! I will give it the full BBC photo treatment tomorrow. Plus I had to put another maxi Twilly cut on hold - another astrologie in the aqua/green cw...Too tempting!

I didn't like them so much on the site but when I played with one in the store I was amazed at how versatile it was....it's like two scarves in one! I bought the deep blue one and the transition between the designs is very muted once it is round your neck. [emoji5]

Thanks so much, Serva. I can offer one piece of advice with wearing the 140cm silks ~ I use MaiTai's shawl rings and they are perfect for the large silks which can be somewhat slippery to wear.

Thank you dear Vigee, will email Maitai. She is so lovely and helpful.

I have also been looking into Loro Piana! My favorite H scarves are not silk but the wool/silk combine New Libris collection. I currently have 4 and can't live without them during Fall/Winter season. But those Loro Piana scarves are soooo tempting!

I have 2 and they are very durable, a bit afraid to use my 2 big silks, don't know why I feel they are more delicate. Perhaps when I get the shawlrings I become more bold [emoji3]

My dilemma exactly but on the other hand didn't see any Mors in Paris so it was an easy decision. Going there again in November so I might buy more shawls.

I am about to coin a new term here....omg how much do I love this shawl??? It is the perfect - wait for it! - bluetral. That's blue + neutral. This has all the neutrals in it - plenty of blacks, soft grays, white, etoupe, soft brown - just geared toward a blue/green palette. There are a variety of blues - blue-gray, Colvert, paradise, St Cyr, even pretty pops of blue hydra, and yes, there is green in it, but it's...unobtrusive. Complementary. I am seriously going to live in this!!!
