This recent discussion of the different Sieste colorways is very timely...I need my fellow tPF members advice!! I just bought Sieste in the "Bono" CW, and have already taken the store tag off and worn it once. Unfortunately I am feeling this is just a bit too far out of my comfort zone for me in terms of color. It is gorgeous and very elegant, but I am just not sure if it is right for me after all. My SA really liked it on me, as did my DD and DH. Hmmm....not sure whether to try and find a new loving home for this one or not...any advice will be greatly appreciated. Sorry about so many pictures, but I wanted to also give others a look at this CW tied in different ways. Thank you in advance dear silky friends :hugs:

Dearest Bova, similar coloring here as you know.

I love it. I'm shocked frankly because I always thought this cw would never work on our color type. But it's just gorgeous. Truly. So color wise, it works on you. In fact, it's divine.

Now, formality wise I'm not sure. While I do see it as more formal than say, my cw 8 ( which btw, did you try that?) I don't particularly see this as "too" formal. It's quite nice with the cazsh outfit you're wearing here. So my vote is keep! [emoji4]

Bova, I think this looks lovely on you! I'm a bit biased because I just picked up the same scarf last night. IMO it's dramatic but really a beauty

PS: I also love the idea of having something entirely unique in your collection. Would you agree?

Bova I'm also biased. I love this version and it has been the only sieste to come home with me thus far. It is so so gorgeous. The colors are surprising and uniquely Hermes and more versatile than you'd think. I may add another sieste - either the red or pink - but would never give this one up.

My dear, dear Bova. You simply must keep this [and not just because we are twins!] as it looks so wonderful on you. These colors really look great on you and add the perfect pop to an all black outfit. It looks especially fabulous in the "Bova knot"...I must try it with mine. Sometimes we all need to try things out of our comfort zone in order to be pleasantly surprised and I reiterate that this does look great on you.

All of the Sieste colorways are beautiful, but as others pointed out, this one is like a true work of art. This combo is so unique and those gold trees!!!! I feel like this scarf will be one that in 5 years everyone will be hunting for on the Bay to get for even close to retail.

Btw, did you get the last one? I think that when I bought mine a couple weeks ago, there was only one other left in this colorway.

Well with my eternal gratitude to the sweetest EternalLove4Bags for her posting instructions, I am attempting to post my first photo. Fingers crossed. Baby steps. Definitely need more help with selfies! My Ballade in holiday colors!View attachment 3214981

This looks great! Balade ties so wonderfully! :D

Very well said! I agree. This one will be a Grail.

I totally LOVE this on you dear Bova! This is my favorite CW of sieste [emoji173]️[emoji173]️ and you tie it so beautifully!!! This is a total keeper in my opinion! Gorgeous my dear [emoji173]️[emoji173]️
Thank you so much eternallove4bag...you are so kind!

I think it looks gorgeous and suits your coloring. And I'm picky. What colors do you usually favor?
Oh thank you hopingoneday...I usually wear a primarily black/neutral wardrobe and add color with my scarves. The scarves I own are primarily bright pink, purple, blue and red with some limited green. So this one is bit of a departure for me!

Thank you so much Pirula, I tried your CW many times and although i love it, the gray in the center seemed to wash me out a bit. I guess I will keep this one for a bit and see if I feel more comfortable in it. I am so humbled by everyone's kind response to my post!

Happy to be twins jayjay, I would love to see modeling shots if you are so inclined. It might help me to see this on someone else too!

I agree Pirula, I think that is why I was drawn to it to begin with. :smile1:

So wonderful to have your input bostonjetset! I am honored to be your twin, and would love to see some modeling shots of you wearing your Sieste. I do agree that this and all of the CW's of Sieste will be the future holy grails. In the meantime we need to just wear them and enjoy right?! :hugs:

Oh Bova. This Sieste is a very mysterious colorway. I tried it on and it did not love me back, though as you know I can usually wear turquoise, plum and navy. It's definitely going to be a Grail in my mind. It does suit your coloring, but I would suggest you try it with a lighter top or shirt. With the deep rich colors, it can become somber with too much black or navy. I'd go with a white or cream top to contrast it and show it off at the neckline. We'd love to see you post again with some different wardrobe pieces. When I buy a silk, it must pass the test of casual white top, simple black sweater and a denim or leather jacket. If it can work with two or three of my favorite pieces, it stays in my collection! HTH!

Oh, a million thanks lanit...I agree, I believe what is bothering me is not the scarf itself per se, but the somberness of it with my primarily black wardrobe. I will try it tomorrow with a white/light top and see how that looks. I like your scarf test by the way...very smart! You and so many others have helped me tremendously!
