This recent discussion of the different Sieste colorways is very timely...I need my fellow tPF members advice!! I just bought Sieste in the "Bono" CW, and have already taken the store tag off and worn it once. Unfortunately I am feeling this is just a bit too far out of my comfort zone for me in terms of color. It is gorgeous and very elegant, but I am just not sure if it is right for me after all. My SA really liked it on me, as did my DD and DH. Hmmm....not sure whether to try and find a new loving home for this one or not...any advice will be greatly appreciated. Sorry about so many pictures, but I wanted to also give others a look at this CW tied in different ways. Thank you in advance dear silky friends :hugs:

Bova First to say is it's the colour of Sieste I find most beautiful as as in 'art' and second is that it does seem to suit your skin tone and looks great with the pieces of gold you are wearing . It seems to be a silk that would be sensational in the evening rather than day.
For me my favourite tie is no 4 …[looks amazing] , then no 2 .

I'd say keep it , having something that's just different ,and such a beautiful thing it is too , really will be useful in the end .

Having the same dilemma myself over an E*** buy that just arrived , it has stronger turquoise than yours and deeper plum .I can't decide if I like it on myself or not .
I'll post it on SOTD !

Well... These colors scared me when I first saw them. They are very different. But honestly they look really pretty all of the ways you have it tied here. I like it. I agree it's very elegant and looks a bit like a dressy or evening scarf. I felt the same way about my flamingo party. I wasn't sure. Wear it a few times. Play with it. And see if you decide if you love it. If not rehome it. By the time you do all of that if you decide you don't love it you will probably get more for it anyway because it will be sold out. But hopefully you will decide that you love it because it's really beautiful and different.

Thank you dear froufrou, I agree, it is definitely a more formal looking scarf in this CW. I will take your advice and live with it for a bit before rehoming it. What is quite amazing about this CW, is the trees with the gold foliage seem almost 3 dimensional! It truly is a work of art as you say! Headed over to SOTD to take a peek at your new purchase, I am very curious...perhaps it is the Sous L'egide de Mars??

Thank you so much pbp, I felt the same way about these colors when I first saw this scarf. Then my SA was wearing it on Saturday, and she encouraged me to try it. I think she likes to push me a bit to venture into new areas/colors to add to my growing collection. I think you have the right idea, I should just wear it for now and see how I settle in with it, and if still not happy then rehome it!

Hi,essiedub! Here are some pics for you. Hope they help for your decision. Pocketbook Pup is right. Online pics don't help much. Cw11 and 14looked similar to me at first, but I ended up with both CWs. They are so different! Cw 14 looks darker.

Dear cherryblossom! You're so sweet to post red cw 11 worn... Well, :thinkin:I think I am leaning towards the blue cw 14::graucho: since I know how it looks on me, it is available, and I just can't muster up the energy to seek and plead for red. But I have to know...which cw do you prefer?

To be honest with you, I prefer cw 14 at the moment. I wear grey and Navy these days, it works perfectly with these dark colors without any thinking. I'm trying to figure out how to wear cw 11 on my wardrobe.:smile1:

I think it looks gorgeous and suits your coloring. And I'm picky. What colors do you usually favor?
