Sorry, didn't mean to be negative and didn't want to offend anyone.
I think this shawl is absolutely gorgeous, and that's why I went in and tried it on. I said that not to offend but more to see if anyone else is with me on that or it's a silly thing to pay attention to the boarder. I'm still considering it...
I apologise again.

Dear expatwife I didn't read the comments as offensive and didn't mean to sound censorious.
There are so many reasons why I don't buy things and I'm sure I sometimes may say why on tpf , after all it's a forum and that means all sorts of views can be shared

I just saw those ladies looking truly glorious and didn't want anything to spoil their delight in what I see as a major acquisition .Also I happen to be potty about contrast hems [and especially white ones :D] and adore intricate corners .

Yes, I totally understand. I should have worded it differently.
I actually do love the corners, I love the design. I bought the 90 cm in the same cw (black background), was thinking of exchanging it for the shawl, that's it. On another hand that white means I can wear it with all white outfit...
Bottom line is this shawl is super gorgeous, and everyone who bought it is very lucky!

I am the same with you on this and Tyger. I don't like the corners on this one - doesn't go with rest of the design. I like the corners on tyger but not the stripes.. Good for my wallet though!

OMG YES!!! We are the same on both shawls!!!
I love the TT design too... I just personally have a hard time wearing flowers with animal print...
besides the fact that Cavalier du Caucus got the last of my spare coins :shame:
I'm sure something in 2016 will appeal to me bc I love the big cats!!!

Everyone looks quite lovely in their new AW shawls. While each choice suits each owner, of course not all designs will appeal to everyone, and many colorations don't suit as well. I am sorry to say that I may be the only person on the planet that does not care for the TT shawl as I'm a bit tired of H s fascination with big cats even though tigers are auspicious animals. But reading of everyone's joy and thought of how it delights, I try to abide by the golden rule.

I will say that I am enormously happy with the LArbe and Boulevards designs, and I especially love the border on the LArbe because when tied it is an amazing graphic and bold design and has a dynamic movement to it that NONE of my other shawls have. I can see that it would possibly overwhelm a petite person though.

That said, eternal and Croisette, you both look spectacular in your L'Arbe shawls dear sister and cousin!

TGIF everyone!

WELL SAID dear lanit [emoji122][emoji122] thank u so much!!! So happy to be twins with u on this CW [emoji7][emoji173]️[emoji7]

Congratulations, glamer! It's beautiful on you.

Thank you croisette! I really love your beautiful cw, it made me realize I need a scarf like it since the fuschia was so lovely.

Your shawls are so beautiful, and you all wear this amazing design with such grace..
For me the white border and corners are delightful. Don't for a minute think it's anything except gorgeous, we all have our own taste and must not listen to negative input.
I haven't bought anything this year but if I did this may be a contender. At the moment I'm feeling replete with H and need to downsize before buying more...

Thank you frou frou. You are so sweet. I am sure if it feels right, you will find this scarf a home with you. [emoji8]

glamer u look AMAZING! Just love it on u!!! :Hugs: u r totally rocking this beautiful CW[emoji173]️[emoji7]

Likewise el4b! I love how when folded differently it highlights such unique colors. I admit when I first got this shawl I laid it out and just pored over the details for a few days. [emoji14]

Omg glamer So did I!!! Then I tried it on all different ways just to see which colors would pop and every different way tied it looks like a totally different scarf [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

My dear Lanit....we agree again...You are not alone about the TT shawl. I couldn't get myself used to the overwhelming combination of the cat and surrounding foliage. Yet today, Boulevards arrived. Thank you, my dear enabler...I'm in Blanc/Noir/Gris love, yet again...it sits right next to our dear Alliances mousseline. I must admit to a bit of an obsession with recent Blanc/Noir/Gris CSGMs...ZP and Brandebourgs are neighbors to their new friend, LOL.

Lucky one you are Werner! Congrats on two or possibly three grails in your scarf drawe! Please post a photo of the three GMs side by side! I nearly capitulated on ZP and Brandebourg, yet i held back because the Brandebourg pattern is not a favorite of mine though it ties beautifully, and the Zoo stripes of hoof kept running down the front of my jacket LOL. I'm sure there were other ways to tie it but I lost interest in hunting for it after a while. Let's see how they look together! Clapping for you!

dear L, you are tempting me with the b/w boulevards...looks fantastic on you..grrr...thoughts my wallet safe for the season..

twins on this one! love this...
ahh you got this too...looks great on you but too dark for my taste ...:smile1:

Sweet cc, thank you, the boulevards is such a charming design. I fell for the twill design, but knew the GM was coming so held off until it's arrival. You are the enabling mistress of GM shawls along with Croisette, so I do hope you try one of these on. I also like the red, yellow and orange one that sissy has. And the caduceus cashmere scarf is for DH for Xmas as it is his Chinese zodiac sign, it's really a beautiful coloration and uber soft, but I won't scare you further:laugh:

Lanit Both lovely and as ever very you:p
Boulevards has it all for me, quintessential Parisian chic and H too ,black and white is so classy , sigh!
Couldn't wear this in a moth of Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays….you get my drift.
B and W scarves are a no-no on me but how I envy those who can wear it well.

I'm still waiting for the red c'way and who knows I may succumb to something from this Season.

Meanwhile I'm trying to reinvent my older silks , give them a now twist ,Otherwise I feel far too guilty!

Froufrou, thank you and your thoughtfulness about which designs suit you best are always interesting to read. Your choices always seem to be on target for you. I cannot imagine that b/w will not work for some people. White seems to be my weakness LOL. I think it outnumbers my red silks!

Fabulous acquisitions! Lové them on you! Congratulations !

Thank you cb, you inspired with the early Boulevards shawls that you posted lovely modeling photos of. It made the wait worthwhile.;)
