Oh, I see..the double-stitch on your estrela is on the far right. and mine is where the two trimmings meet..and the single-stitch is also on the left side.. Thanks so much.. This forum is really a lot of help..Thanks again emimc..;-)

Oh wait. I think mine has double stitching in this picture too. It's on the right side. I think that's how they make this bag then. Let's see if other Estrela owner has the same stitching.

You're welcome! Glad I could help. I think double stitching where trimmings meet is better lol. It's a lot more secure in my opinion.

My husband chose this bag for me about 2 years ago. I commute daily and tend to stuff everything and the kitchen sink into it. Aside from being a lovely bag, it has proven to be functional and durable.

That's what I love about it. You can pretty much stuff anything in it. I love your French Bulldog avatar picture!

Retro was shaped more like a doctors bag and estrela more like a tote. Both very pretty, but estrela seems more functional to me because of tote style straps..which do not fall off shoulder.

Went to the store today and got to see the Estrela. This bag never appealed to me on the website, but my reaction was the opposite in person. Now I really want one! My only question is: will the Estrela MM fit a MacBook pro? Thanks!

Hi all, I am a newbie here, and yes I am a proud owner of Estrella MM:smile1: I got it exactly 1 year ago and it was my 1st LV and my ultimate handbag.. My husband and I went into the store, I thought we were just looking around.. At that time I had no idea of any LV handbags, I mean the names and models available, except for speedy coz it is so popular.. My husband asked me to see which one was the best bag for me.. I was first attracted to retiro, FYI I love structured bags, but then I decided Estrela is better because it is a shoulder bag.. As I was modeling in front of the mirror, admiring its beauty, suddenly I heard my husband said to the SA, "okay, we take it!" It was the best surprise ever! And it was our anniversary too, and I was pregnant with our first son and just slowly recovered from bad morning sickness.. It was indeed the best gift ever! I always told my husband that I one day will get an LV but didn't think that he was planning on getting it for me! Now, after 1 year, what can I say, I think it is the best handbag that LV ever produced, in terms of its beauty and elegance, and of course function wise.. Whenever I see my Estrela, I see perfection ;)

I love my Neverfull GM in Azur but since I live in a country where we have a real winter I wanted something with the zipper. And also zipper is great when traveling.
After a lot of thought I ended up with Estrela GM. Sorry for the bad photo but you get the idea !

You mentioned winter??? Do you use this during winter? How's the vachetta holding up???

Well...good question. I wanted a bag for winter (I love my NF Azur GM during summer months), and bought this great bag with a zipper. But now it is constantly raining and I cannot take her out. Maybe I let her sit inside and get more patina, and by the time the next winter comes she is ready. I really don´t know.
