Hi :-)
I spotted an Eva clutch on a second hand store website, sold at 600€ (i live in France). The purse is from 2012, comes with the dustbag but sadly without the crossbody strap. The bag seems in great condition overall, except a few scratches on the name plate in the front.
I find this bag cute even if i'm not a fan of gold HW in general and I would prefer to wear this purse crossbody so I might have to invest in a strap.
I don't have any LV bags so I don't know if this is worth the price. Some LV's are considered as "investment" pieces like the Speedy but what about the Eva ?
Would love to know your opinion, dear LV lovers :-)

Every once in a while I think of selling my Eva, but then this thread pops up and the pics on here remind me why I love it! :hbeat:
Frankly it's not worth to sell Eva, look at the prices of any small size and good looking practical bags Louis Vuitton have published this year, they are all over $2,000, crazy! over $2,000! And many of these over $2,000 bags don't wear well, corners, glazings worn off very easily after just 6 months, while Eva (and older designer bags) will hold well for over 10, 20 years while still stylish like a piece of art. I love older thoughtful design and well made LV bags, they were made to last

I actually sold my Eva to Fashionphile not too long ago. Didn’t get the best offer, but decent enough for me to sell it to them. I haven’t used it in over five years and have no plans on using it again since I have other smaller bags now. I have been logging into Fashionphile to check and see if mine is on there, mine was in pristine condition, but haven’t seen it on there yet. No regrets as I am planning to move across country and trying to downsize.

You're so right about the outrageous prices these days! I tend to gravitate towards classic styles, so I'm not really interested in most of the new stuff.

Mind if I ask how much you sold yours for? I rarely ever use my Eva these days which is why I sometimes think about selling it. Plus I have other similar size purses (including two PAs). But I think @onlyk has a good point.

Fashiophile offered me $700 and I bought it for $600 something at that time back in 2013/2014, I think. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered me that much and I took it. Yes, onlyk does have a point, but I’m a firm believer in one-in one-out (although I haven’t purchased a purse in two years) and I’m not going to keep something that I know I will no longer use and haven’t used in years. I don’t have a consignment store near me and I don‘t want to go through the hassle of eBay, so Fashionphile was the perfect place to sell it to. My husband has been selling a lot of his stuff as well, getting ready for our move. He’s also a firm believer in getting rid of things if not being used. All in all, no regrets and I can save that money for something else that I may have my eye on.

hi everyone! i have a question regarding first eva clutch release date, does anyone remember it? i have come across one eva with date code DU5017, which makes it from the end of 2007. i know the bag was released somewhere in the beginning of 2008 so could the mentioned bag be authentic? otherwise it looks like real one with heavier and bigger chain than later editions.
would appreciate any response
