The Elusive P9 Thread

I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement from all these FW25 P9 reveals... the anticipation is killing me!

So far, it's been a wave of mostly Gold and Sencha… but where’s the Indigo?!

Hi ladies. For those of you who got the new shipment of the turquoise, did you get the right turquoise sitch coloring for the bag it came with? And that cute paper cut out that comes with all the p9s in the turquoise color? I just got mine and it is missing and I am really bummed. I wanted to see if this is how Louis did them all or just mine? My bags are mismatched and I am bummed and that paper cutout is simply missing.

All the lettering was the color of the bag on mine.

I agree with you, would have been far better to have just been the lock. Are you going to keep it? If I were to buy one I would get the Lion being a Leo as my star sign.

I’ve put in an order for the Horse lock instead and will be returning the Dove once the new order arrives in store. Order is already in prep so I reckon it should be within the week… makes more sense to match the charm to myself than the P9, and maybe if I ever collect a quad of P9s from each collection I will get the chain charm instead (because clearly I’ve then struck the lottery 🤣)

I’ve put in an order for the Horse lock instead and will be returning the Dove once the new order arrives in store. Ha! 🤣 Yes a lottery win would be amazing. Can't wait to see how you style your horse lock charm on your P9. You have the red one, right? I love the red. I'm already manifesting good fortune to come my way, so I could add the red one day. I can dream

Photos of the lock charm. So it looks nice with the burnished metal look and is pretty substantial in weight, but I have questions as well. For something so pricey was there no better way to present the keys for the lock than the regular speedy lock? The tiny metal ring the keys are on look as flimsy as a paper clip and I don’t even know if simply removing the keys would irreversibly misshape that tiny ring (or should I just assume that’s a disposable part of the charm??). I am also slightly concerned with the small attachment point of the P9 “coin” part of the charm too and really not knowing exactly how durable these are, especially when the charm is subjected to any accidental snagging.

The hook attachment is also a little bit of a question mark to me (yes I am aware it’s a hook all along) too. I have no idea if it would hold well on a bag and I would have a slight fear of it becoming dislodged on a bag especially since I crossbody my P9 25.

And while I ordered the dove because that’s the collection my P9 is from, I keep wondering if I should have ordered the horse instead, given I’m born in the Year of the Horse (coming up next year to remind me of my age!)…

You do have to force the hook open a bit in order for it to attach to the hardware of a speedy, so theoretically it shouldn’t be so easy to dislodge - but I don’t trust it either. I have had really bad experiences with the Loewe personalization keychains that literally unscrewed themselves while hanging on a bag and causing me to lose a limited edition Loewe x Howl’s Moving Castle dice and recently again almost losing a Paula’s Ibiza tomato dice…

Your lock has arrived! And it looks so GOOD! Thanks for sharing the pics! I totally understand your dilemma because I would want a lock to match my easter egg too but if I have an affinity with another animal... how do I choose!? You know what, either way it's the right decision. You went with the horse and you will always be a horse! So if you ever sell your P9, the horse lock is still relevant!

I don't understand the hook situation either... If I get the lock there's no way, I'm just hooking it on to the P9 like that. I've lost a charm before and I was sad for days. And that was a fifth of the price of this lock AND it had a proper clasp closure too. I'll have a proper fit if I actually lost this P9 lock!

I managed to check out the chain charm when I dropped by last weekend and good golly is it heavy! It's got all the animals and it looks great but it's a pass for me. The P9 is already heavy empty. I can't imagine adding this extra weight to the bag! Phew! Money saved!

My SA said the indigo is part of Drop 2! So it should arrive around 7 Aug! 3 and half more weeks... we can do it!

Yes thats around what my SA said too! It's my birthday end of July so I was kind of hoping it would have arrive by then, but have been assured it won't 😭 It's gonna be a looooooooong 3 weeks!!! But all good things come to those who wait, right?

I read all 44 pages of this thread and still don’t really understand all the mysteries of how someone gets a p9 speedy but given the fall/winter collection has a pink 25, I asked my SA if I could pre order on the hopes that someone somewhere says ok. First it was a deposit without order, and then it was converted to an order that’s now pending order verification. Does that mean … I just might get one????
